Way too big in the waist and short in the leg for a normal size kid
The quality of these pants are very good, but the sizing is horrible. My son has some old Carhartts sz 7 that might be a older model that fit him really well, in fact they ran a little on the long side and fit him till he wore multiple holes in them. But when I went to a size 8, they were way too wide and way to short, so much so that they were unwearable! I thought that might be a fluke so I got rid of those and got a different pair, same thing! Who are the kids they are fitting these for? I don't understand all the people that say they fit well. My son is neither exceptionally tall or exceptionally thin, he's a pretty average sized kid that fits average sized other pants, who works outside a lot and needs some work pants that fit. Yet I can't find such a thing anywhere.

Tough Kid Pants
These pants fit my kid well and just as I expected, hold up to a wild 6 year old. Slide down trees for fun? No problem. Crash on your bike on the concrete. No problem. They won't keep ya from getting broken, but they'll stay together and ready for more.

Best Christmas Gift for a 10 year old
Thank heaven for the sales associate who found me a pair of size 12 typical Carharrt jeans for my grandson when they were listed as sold out on-line. It was his top request for Christmas so he could look just like his dad. His mom said no more work pants, so my grandson went and measured himself so I could order what he wanted. High five to Carharrt.

Wonder Pants
These pants are perfect fit for my 4 year olds. I got a size 5 for him. He only got to try them on before we lost them in our house fire. But they fit him wonderful and he enjoyed their fit and said they were comfortable. Will be buying another pair soon!

Kids love them but knees wear out quickly
We love Carhartt, and my boys love these pants. They work hard and play hard on our farm, and I've had to patch the knees in every single pair of these pants. Carhartt, please make kids' pants with reinforced knees!

Good pants, run WAY large on size - order down a size
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] High quality and durable, but VERY BIG. Our boys wear a 6/7 in most pants and the 7s are GIANT on them. Probably 4-6 inches too long.

Our favorite pants. We have a couple pair and we rotate them during the week. Tough for my wild child and all the adventures we go on.
