Go-to vest for working outside in winter

In winter when the temperature plummets, there is no substitute for a nice heavy coat. However, if you're working outside, need to stay warm, but want maximum mobility, there is nothing better than a Filson lined Mackinaw Work Vest. With its heavy wool outer shell and flannel lining inside, it feels like wearing a winter coat with the arms cut off. Typical of Filson outerwear, the pockets are large and functional enough to actually be useful. The side pockets are deep and designed in a way that anything you put in them, like gloves, will stay in and unlikely to fall out. The inner left breast pocket is big enough to hold a cellphone, wallet, or 6oz flask. There are two outer breast pockets...the right one slotted so you can carry pens, markers etc in the slots, within easy reach, without the hassle of fishing around for them because they fell into a pocket. Overall, this is a well thought out, functional piece of outerwear that I highly recommend....
