Hubby is happy
Hubby loves it! He said it isthe most comfortable shoes he has ever worn. He usually goes hiking while fishing, this shoes makes it possible for him to be on his feet for a long period of time.

Great wide boots
Great boot for a wide forefoot. Doesn’t pinch my neuromas. Used them in Vermont and Adirondacks. Kept my feet dry without being hot and sweaty. Excellent traction.

WEARING THEM TIL MY LAST BREATH
As always my new Merrells fit and feel fabulous. As these are “extra sets” I’ve only worn them briefly indoors, on carpet. But they’re identical to the set I have on - and which prompted this purchase, and the next - so they’ve been placed back in the box. And set on a shelf, for when my current pair wear out. Or when winter comes. As that’s when I’ll require the waterproofing they have. Merrell shoes and boots have been my go-to source for well over a decade now. And as I approach age 70, I see no need to look elsewhere. I’ve found what best suits me. So, Merrell, unless you do something stupid - like sellout to some foreign entity, or begin using cheap, inferior materials, employing poorly paid workers for production, etc - I’m sticking with you til my last breath. Literally. I can’t think of a better endorsement.

Very nice, but a couple of things to be aware of
Really nice boots, and very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. There are a couple of things that Merrell needs to know, though. One, the soft collar on the inside top, while very comfortable, is a magnet for grass awns, which then become very hard to remove from that fabric, especially the smaller ones that break off in small fragments. I just spent the best part of an hour doing that. If you're going to be walking through areas of tall dry grass, be aware. Two, the tread on these has some narrow gaps, where larger grass awns and other plant material can get stuck. This is an issue because people can unwittingly transport invasive plant material between locations, causing inadvertent spread of invasive plant species. Wider gaps between the treads would help with this.

Good shoe
I bought these 8 months ago and so far am not disappointed. Wear 3 or 4 days a week, very comfortable, good support, worth the money. I will be buying another pair.

great shoe - comfortable and excellent fit
excellent fit - especially like the wide version for lots of space. Comfortable from the first time I put them on. This purchase is to replace previous pair that had lots of experience in rugged locations.

Buy them before everything is plastic!
These have been one of my standby shoes for many years. They are quite wide and exceptionally comfortable. The Vibram sole is a winner when it comes to wearing well. I really do not think you can go wrong with this purchase.

New boots
I haven't used it for the great outdoors yet; I wanted a pair of boots that fit for my office and for the outdoors, and from the moment I put them on I knew that these were the ones! Great fit, no break in time; couldn't have asked for more!
