Why We Like The Outdoor Research CarryOut Duffel 40L
The Outdoor Research CarryOut Duffel 40L is highly durable and versatile for our various travel needs. This duffel features highly abrasion resistant nylon ripstop with 600-denier polyester in high-wear areas to protect our gear and prolong the life of the bag—plus a TPU laminate for water-resistant protection. We like the expandable internal pocket, which lets us segment wet clothes, shoes, and smelly laundry to separate them from the rest of our load. We also like the versatile carrying options with the CarryOut's end grab handles, two handles with hook-and-loop wraps, and removable shoulder straps, which let us carry it duffel-style or wear it backpack-style as we run through an airport or hoof our way to the hostel or BNB on our outdoor holiday.

Tough Duffle
Great for extra camping gear. Durable and water resistant. Stayed dry in the snow.

So far so good
Works pretty well so far! I can't tell if the zippers are cheap or not

Definitely recommend.
Used on 4 different airlines with no issues. I use exclusively in backpack mode for travel and wish it had a water bottle holder to be five stars.

Nice features but horrible durability
This is duffle has some nice features (e.g., inside zip pocket, dirty clothes stuff sack); however, the durability is absolutely disappointing. A dime-sized hole tore in the bottom the very first time it was used as a checked bag (on a short domestic flight). OR warranty said tears are not covered, so I'm now using it as a dirty gym bag because it does not seem durable enough to actually use for traveling. This bag is great potential if redesigned with more durable fabric, at least on the bottom!

Great features in a no hassle product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this, and the the two larger sizes as well, for anything from a quick weekend run to week's long travels. From planes, trains to automobiles, whatever your adventure, this is a quality, functional product that will help you get there with your gear in tow. I really like the separation component that allows me to keep things separated.

Perfect for Carry-On and Weekend Trips
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I first bought the 60L and find it perfect for a weekend trip to carry everything. Some users said they could carry the 60 L on a plane but I think it you packed it full, it would be a little too big for a carryon. So I bought the 40L and find it perfect for a carry on. I just used it on a plane trip, fit easily in the overhead. I love the various pockets and the side entrance for shoes or dirty clothes. It's super light and seems durable. My only complaint is that when you wear it as a backpack, the handle you would use to carry it as a duffle bag sits right in the middle of your back. To avoid this, you have to undue the two straps from the duffle bag handle and leave them hang off the side. It's very minor, that's why I'm sticking to my review that it's an awesome bag that will get a lot of use.
