Why We Like the Smartwool Smartloft Jacket
The Smartwool Smartloft Jacket features a smart blend of fabrics that mix and match wool, synthetic, and stretchy materials to maximize our comfort. This includes a wind-resistant and water-repellent nylon shell up front to shed the elements with a stretchy polyester-wool blend in the arms, sides, and back for more mobility, breathability, and moisture control when we work up a sweat. Smartwool also lined the torso with wool and polyester fill for insulation that keeps us warm in both dry and wet weather. That's a smart combination to keep us warm and dry in more athletic pursuits in cool temperatures and also comfortable in more casual wear.

The Ultimate Blend of Warmth, Fit, and Breathability
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Smartwool Smartloft Jacket has truly won me over with its exceptional blend of warmth, fit, and breathability. Despite my fair share of experiences with outdoor gear, this jacket stands out as a reliable companion for cold weather. What I love most about the Smartloft Jacket is its ability to keep me warm without feeling bulky. The 60g recycled wool insulation is surprisingly lightweight yet incredibly effective, making it perfect for various outdoor activities and changing weather conditions. Whether I'm hiking in the mountains or walking around town on a chilly day, this jacket provides the right amount of warmth without overheating. Fit-wise, Smartwool nailed it with this jacket. The tailored fit is not only flattering but also allows for easy layering without feeling restricted. I appreciate the adjustable features like the hem and cuffs, which ensure a snug and customized fit every time I wear it. One of the standout features for me is the jacket's breathability. The merino wool lining does an excellent job of wicking away moisture, keeping me dry and comfortable even during more active pursuits. It's a relief to wear a warm jacket that doesn't leave me feeling sweaty or clammy after a long day outdoors. Durability is another highlight. Despite constant use and exposure to rough terrain, the Smartloft Jacket has held up impressively well. It's clear that Smartwool prioritizes quality and longevity in their products, which gives me confidence that this jacket will last for many seasons to come. Overall, the Smartwool Smartloft Jacket has become my go-to choice for cold-weather adventures. Its practical features, comfortable fit, and durable construction make it a staple in my outdoor wardrobe. Whether I'm exploring nature or simply running errands in chilly weather, this jacket keeps me warm, comfortable, and stylish without fail.

I would purchase this product again!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this product! It is a perfect layer for early spring and fall when the temperatures outside are just a wee bit cooler than is comfortable for shirt sleeves. The color is great, coordinates well with my wardrobe. It is also a great layer for extra warmth under a down jacket in the cold of winter.

Well worth owning.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of the most versatile jackets I own. Great for many activities from skiing to cycling to hiking. Serves as mid layer or on its own depending on conditions.

Don't Understand
I love everything I have ever purchased from Smartwool except this jacket. It is not warm at all. There is very little heat retention and the arm fleece is pointless. Air travels through the sleeves. Your body on this jacket can get warm if you are active but my arms are freezing. I might as well were a vest. It also does a so so job as a mid layer. I have other pieces that do a much better job at lesser cost. It also absorbs sweat which will eventually make you colder. The base layers from Smartwool, like the 250, do a much better job at regulating heat and body moisture. One of the worst purchases I have made. I will say it is comfortable and well made just not what I expected based on the description and price.

My go to winter jkt
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent jkt for winter jog when temps are 0-15F. Love the rear of jkt allows heat / moisture to escape. Looking forward to using when fat biking during colder conditions.

probably not... I'll wait for the next edition.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use it for golfing. It's okay. I work in the golf industry and wanted to try it. It's a good price performer. I do see other products that cost twice as much.
