The Smartwool Smartloft Jacket mixes and matches materials to deliver the perfect cold weather layer. The wind-resistant nylon shell sheds wind and light precipitation, thanks to its durable water repellent finish, while stretchy merino-blend fleece panels in the back, sides, and sleeves add comfort and mobility for our active pursuits. We also like the insulation blend, which combines a merino-blend fleece with a merino wool lining that’s soft against our skin and manages moisture and odor. This Smart blend keeps us comfortable in chilly conditions.

I would highly recommend this jacket!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my Smartloft jacket. it is a great additional layer, with a nice close fit and excellent flexibility allowing movement when I am active. It is also stylish enough to wear as a stang along jacket. And it is really warm!

I would most definitely buy this product again.

The warmth of the wool is comfortable and I love the fact that it is lightweight. Perfect for when you need just a bit more on the arms. I also use it to layer up under my down jacket for added warmth when needed. It is light weight and perfect in every way. Love the color, and everything about it.

Positive Customer Service Addendum to Review
I'm unable to edit my previous review, but I want to compliment Smartwool's "Go Far. Feel Good. Guarantee." I wasn't happy with my purchase but it took several times of wearing it to know for sure. Smartwool's policy is that you can file a claim within TWO YEARS of the purchase date. I was doubtful they'd follow through (because what companies/brands actually do this?) but they did. And now they have a lifelong customer out of me. What a company! Just spectacular customer service.

Yes, I would buy again
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've admired this jacket on others and purchased when on sale. I bought the chestnut size medium. I'm a size 6 pear. It fits well and the color is beautiful. The jacket is a great shoulder season slim line piece. It's cozy and thin enough to wear under a heavy coat in the winter. It would also be a nice travel piece.

Disappointing Changes to Fabric
I got my first Smartloft 60 jacket in 2021. It was a gamechanger. Keeps me warm but doesn't make me feel overheated when temps rise. It's magic. BUT I recently purchased a second jacket in a different color. Smartwool has changed the "what" of the design--the arms are no longer 100% wool. As a result, the jacket feels really stiff--even the body shell portion which doesn't seem to have changed according to the tag feels very stiff--the arms aren't as breathable and the jacket overall is much less comfortable. I'm SO disappointed--I would never recommend this product based on how it's been changed.

Smartloft Merino Jacket is perfect for my trip!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love everything about this jacket. I wear it especially to travel in! There have been nights in a hotel I've worn it as PJs with wool bottoms. I try not to use the hotel room heaters while I sleep. Washs well and dries quickly. LOVE IT!!!!
