So small
I wanted to love this shoe! I ordered my usual size in Altras and there was a zero percent chance these were going to work. My toes were crushed right up against the top of the shoe. I wasn't able to run with them so I can't comment on anything other than the fit. They are as cool looking as you think they're going to be, though!

Best support and comfort
These fit my feet well; lots of toe room and true to my normal size. I was pleased that the lacework was designed to avoid pressure on the top of my foot where I have a runners bump. Loved the red combo

Terrible fit and horrible customer service
It feels too narrow near big toe and too wide on pinky toe part of the foot. You need to go a full size bigger if you want your toes to even fit and then it's overall terrible foot support. I would not recommend this shoe to anyone.

Great Performance Questionable Quality
These shoes are very comfortable. Even with the slimmer fit they are still roomier than my previous Brooks. Since I started running in them 4 months ago, the knee pain I was experiencing has gone away. My only complaint is that on one shoe a hole has formed in the top of the toe where the mesh meets the rubberized coating. Considering the cost, for a running shoe that I've only had for 4 months and put at most 250 miles on, I'm disappointed that they're already tearing. I reached out to Altra Warranty but unfortunately they consider it normal wear and tear. So, I may look for another zero-drop shoe brand when it's time to replace these shortly.

Almost the right shoe for me
I thought this was going to be my perfect trail shoe. Really comfortable and felt like a really good fit. Unfortunately I developed lateral ankle/peroneal tendinitis after running in these shoes. I think this happened because of the lateral/outside arch of the shoe is too built up. Plus the upper of the shoe started developing holes fairly early on compared to previous trail running shoes. I'm really hoping for some good changes in future generations of this shoe because has a lot of potential!

Didn't work for me- doesn't mean it won't work for you
Lifelong runner here. Narrower toe box than some altras I've had. Unfortunately I've concluded that these shoes are contributing to peroneal tendinitis for me (lateral foot pain and/or lateral lower leg pain in my case). I'm not sure if it's the narrower toe box or if the heel doesn't grip me enough to stay in a proper alignment? I've gone through several pairs of lone peaks without issues, though you do need to ease into lone peaks and alternate them out with other shoes so that your calf muscles have time to build. I plan to keep my lone peaks in the rotation, unfortunately the Outroad 2's didn't work for me.

Really like it, but it's not holding up!
I really enjoy the fit of the Altra Outroad--my first foot-shaped shoe. My toes have delighted in the wider toe box and zero drop. I decided this was my new brand and I then purchased the Rivera and Paradigm recently! I run regularly, but rotate between about 5 pair of shoes. However, the Outroads are already breaking down in the inside and I have had them less than 2 months. BOTH shoes have spots of wear, and one hole is through multiple layers. I only wear them every few days! So I really like the shoes, but they may not be worth it with holes forming on the inside! I want Altra to be my new go-to shoes, but not if they don't last. Very sad.

Too small
I am normally a 9.5 in the original lonepeaks & love their width!! But unfortunately the 9.5 is too small and too narrow for me on this shoe. I will return them and just get shoes that have the "original" foot shape.

Felt like I was flying in these shoes!
Wore these beauties during my last two weeks of training for my first 50K and the for the race. Exactly! The perfect shoe for this trail, mainly dirt, loose gravel and, a few spots of grass. I couldn't have been happier with my shoes. I definitely felt brave:)

Just too narrow in the toe box
I have always bought Altra shoes because of the wide toe box, but this overall move toward narrower cuts of shoe is breaking my heart. I wanted to love these shoes, but I have a permanently broken toe on one side and while in older Altras I always had enough room, in these it was just badly pinched and cramped. Sadly not gonna work for me.
