Why We Like The Altra Paradigm 7 Shoe
Altra's Paradigm 7 Shoe gives us the touch of support we need at the end of our long runs. Outfitted with medial GuideRail technology, this pair nudges our feet back in line when fatigue starts to make them pronate too much, and the generous stack of ultralight foam keeps our strikes soft no matter how heavy our strides start to feel. Despite the max stack of foam and stabilizing tech, the platform still feels flexy underfoot thanks to the grooved midsole smoothing our ride.

A little stiff, not enough toe room
The support is good, but my midfoot has pain when I wear the shoes longer than a few hours. I wish there were more shoes with the original fit for a wider toe box. I wish this supportive shoe was more comfortable. I am concerned about the many complaints about the sole coming apart and holes in the mesh part.

Super narrow midfoot
I have never had any problem with my lone peaks or brooks I've worn but these shoes have a super narrow midfoot that pinches the side of your foot while running. It's not a break in thing I've ran 50+ miles in them and it hasn't gotten better. It's a real shame because they're supportive and comfortable but the pinching and how narrow it is leads to blisters I don't want to wear them all day.

Awesome shoe, but please make more color options for wide si
I have extreme over pronation, with wide feet. These areone of the most comfortable shoes I've worn, but I hate the light blue color on the only color way that is offered in wide sizes.

I would buy this product again.
As a busy person working in Healthcare and on my feet 12 hours a day, I would recommend these shoes.

Wide option comments
This review only covers the fit of the shoe. I wear a 10.5 and own the Torin 7 wide. They are a perfect fit for my foot width. These are 10.5 wide for the Paradigm and they are too narrow for my feet. There is plenty of toe room, but immediately after the toe cup the material digs into the sides. In addition my foot doesn't quite fit the shape of the insoles and given the amount of toe space I am hesitant to size up to an 11 or 11.5. Given the Torin 7 success I had hope for another Altra "wide" model. I wish we had more original foot shaped or wide options for road running shoes.

I was disappointed with Paradigm 7 cushioning
I use these shoes as an all around shoe including mild hiking. I have issues with pronation and found the Paradigm 5 really worked well for both pronation and cushioning. When I tried the P6, for me it had lost much of its pronation assistance but retained the same cushioning. I found the P7 to be much firmer even hard with a harsh feel especially on hard surfaces. This is a bit confusing being high cushioning is what Altra is known for designing into their shoes. The P7 did help stabilize pronation better than the P6. But I found the P7 to be so firm that I returned them.

"Black" isn't black.
The black color isn't black at all. More of a shiny navy blue. Definitely not as pictured.

Great but not amazing
With an avg. of 20-2-miles a week, these have been great. But if you are looking for a responsive, cushioned run, these are about 75% of the way there. The stability is amazing, but if you are looking for a cushioned feel, these could DEFINITELY be better. After the first week of running I already noticed a slight tear in the toe box. They have been amazing for 5-10mi runs, but I would not recommend them for any distance longer than that. If you want a responsive, cushioned feel these are not it.

Poor Quality. Repeatedly!
I want to like Altras. I really do. I love the concept of zero drop in a wide toebox. It is the best I've ever felt. Unfortunately I have had three different models of shoe delaminate from the sole.
