Why We Like The Altra Superior 6 Shoe
Made for the less is more crowd, the Superior 6 is Altra's minimalist trail shoe with nimble performance and plenty of trail feel. Starting at 9.5 ounces per shoe, the Superior rocks a minimalist build with the brand's signature balanced cushioning, gender-specific fit, and Footshape toe boxes for natural toe splay. Updated for 2023, the 6th iteration of the Superior has updated the uppers with a new ripstop material, increased breathability in the vamp, and tweaked the Maxtrac outsoles for more durable tread and tactile traction.

Great shoe
I bought this shoe to have the grip to push a sled at gym works great but heel seems to slip out If I tie tighter only the lace section gets tighter Great shoe though comfortable excellent grip

My third pair. Couldn't be happier..
Their wide width is perfect. I use them for trail walking, 4 to 5 miles a day.

Comfortable, sized perfect, wash great, and great looking!
I bought these for my 12 year old son, who's feet grow by the second.. Instead of returning, I kept for me! Love the style, better looking in person, and wash perfectly. Would buy again!

Altra Continues Downhill Since VF Acquisition
With every new Superior, Altra gets worse. VF ruined a once-great company with cheap materials on shoes seemingly no longer designed by runners. My feet can't take it. Returning these and moving on.

The most reliable, durable barefoot shoe I own
I absolutely love my Altra superior 5. They were the second pair of "barefoot" style shoes I purchased, and I've now tried five brands. Lems are well built and comfortable, but not great in wet conditions, Xero have lasted a long time, but they're not very stylish. My viviborefoot have started falling apart after 3 months! These altra's are the only shoe that feels like the manufacturing process is solid. They are very light, very comfortable and they're by far, the best built, most durable, and long lasting shoe I've purchased in the zero drop category. I love my Altras

So bummed
Awful trail shoe. Weird one sided tongue, stiff and extra wide heel, odd plastic-ey stiffness in places where it makes no sense. I made it about 45 seconds on the tread hating every step.

Altra is straying
I've been using Altra Superiors for several generations of shoes, but these just don't work. Narrow forefoot, no give to the upper, and hence unwearable. Not the shoe or shape I'd expect from Altra.

Soooooooo narrow
Sooooo narrow. Superior 4 was the best superior there was. This new one is so narrow. I miss the old Altra.
