Horrible!
I've had multiple pair of lone peak mids, with no issues whatsoever. I just bought the Timps and wore them, luckily on a small hike. 3 miles in, and my left ankle and right heel all blistered. Noticble defects in both shoes. Would not recommend these at all. Quality has dropped in this manufacturer, and now I'm stuck with them. Pure junk!

ankle pain
i really wanted to like this shoe, but the ankle area is in horrible need of a redesign. The tongue is really wide causing it to wrap around the foot to the angle bone creating a massive hot spot. There is also a line of stitching in the upper part of the shoe that will cause pain if worn for any amount of time. I have owned over 50 pairs of altra shoes and never had a pair fit and feel this bad

These things are a joke
Stitching already coming apart, poorly made and size if way off. Stick to Hokas!

Awesome light hiking boots
Just bougth these, immediately did a 2 mike hike in roughvterrain, followed by a few more. Love my low timps, on my 3rd pair. Have lone peak mids and have had other highly cushioned hikers. These are just right, lps didntvhave enough for me, these are comfy but i dont feel like i am wearing a marshmallow...

Problem stitching where tongue meets the ankle
I love Altras (I own many pairs). When I received these I loved how they felt/looked. After wearing them around the house for a couple of hours they became painful where the tongue meets the ankle on the inside of the right ankle. It was to the point that there was a skinned spot when I removed them. I want them to work so badly I intend to wear them inside one more time. Other than this unwearable issue, they seem great. However, this may be an obvious killer. This is unfortunate especially since I purchased using a discount code. I dont know if I can get the code back. Even worse, I truly want to love these shoes.

Great hiking and everyday wear
I have been wearing this shoe anytime it is wet or cold or I need traction for work and when not working. Fits great. Feels great. Works great. Definitely recommend.

Great shoe but unwearable due to bizarre stitching at ankle
The shoe is waterproof, so comfortable, looks great, but has one huge flaw that makes it unwearable. They have this weird ball of stitching that sits right at your inside ankle bone. It makes it so painful and bothersome. I have had to return multiple Altra's in the last year or so. No quality control. Too bad because besides this stitching it is a wonderful shoe.

Disappointed
Was so excited to receive these. The glue on the toe guard/sole on the right boot came undone in under 3 weeks of just walking in them. Filled out Altra's warranty claim (which is insane), just to be emailed back days later stating to pursue their refund policy instead which includes driving them to a FedEx center, which is over an hour away for me, sending them back, then waiting multiple weeks for them to process a refund claim, and once they give me my money back, I can then repurchase a pair. All because they sent me a shoddy pair of boots to begin with. Thanks Altra, I guess.

yes
ok so Im a week into owning the Timp,,,,,I needed to step up one full size larger for the fit, coming out of a lone peak. The cushion around shoe sole could use some reinforced protective rand. I ripped a chunk of soft foam out my first day.Had to use shoe goo to repair.Time will tell how long they hold up ,,Im in my mid sixties'...so these are my dailies.
