EV-Eight is awesome!
I love everything about this life jacket. It is easily adjustabe and super comfortable to wear for all day paddles. It also helps me stay cool on really hot days, and with it's adjustability, I can layer up for paddling on those cooler days. On top of all that, the color is so pretty.

Easy-on
This pfd is comfortable and easy to put on. The pockets are satisfactory, if a bit snug for a phone.

Best Named PFD ever?

Building on the franchise that is Astral's top selling PFD model, the EV-Eight takes all of the features of the original V-Eight model, and wraps it in a Bluesign approved recycled polyester face fabric - helping to achieve Astral's mission of protecting as much soil and water as possible. The EV-Eight features a breathable mesh back and airescape foam in the front for the most breathable option in the Astral PFD lineup. Lightweight and extremely packable, this model is also great for pairing with packrafts for flat or slow water adventures.

like mesh for heat
3/23 wear all the time. Works for kayaking, as it has a mesh back for better comfort. BUT, if I want to easily attach a water bladder, made by another vendor, with bite valve and tube, I can not. I had to sew two loops on the shoulder straps to accommodate bladder. Otherwise, got in orange, adjusts easily, accommodates knife. capsized several times using this pfd and it works for me. Am female, 118 lbs, 5,6"; ordered a size S and it fits over lotsa clothes, zipping up front.
