Why We Like The Tr1 Junction Water Shoe

The Astral Tr1 Junction Water Shoe helps us navigate water and trail-bound pursuits with unencumbered dexterity and ease. The Tr1 features a hydrophobic upper, complete with protective TPU overlays at the toe and heel for added defense against root-strewn trails and rocky, shallow creek beds. A removable insole features a Polygiene treatment that fends off post-play odors, and a heel tab makes it easy to pull the Tr1 on or off. Additionally, the EVA midsole, along with the Top Shank, attenuates shock and reduces foot fatigue to ensure day-long support and comfort.

Great canyoneering shoes!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Size Bought:
10.5

I was looking for a great shoe to do some canyoneering in Zion Natl Park. These are great! Very grippy. Lightweight. Drain water very easily. My only complaint is that the easy draining and drying means fine sand easily gets through the mesh of the shoe (but it gets out too). These are much better than my Scarpa approach shoes for canyoneering when water is involved - the Scarpa shoes drain terribly. I have not used them a ton, but over an intense 3 days the Astral shoes did great.

Nice shoe, too small.

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

Really like the shoe, appears well crafted and suits my needs. Unfortunately runs small for fit. Ordered normal size for me, 12M. With this shoe my toes and heel are up against the ends and foot is pushing against the sides, this with laces loosened and untied. Will need size larger perhaps but other sizes now out of stock. Returning these nonetheless. Disappointed sizing is so far off, annoyed at having to pay to return for this reason.

Small Shows

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Size Bought:
12

Bought a size 11 didn?t fit. Bought a size 12 still so uncomfortable. Had to return the shoe all together. Got a pair of flintwood Teva?s instead and they are like a ?normal? shoe. They fit appropriately and we?re only 65$. In my opinion if these shoes really fit you they will be great, instead for me a big disappointment.

True to Size, but for Narrow Feet

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it
Size Bought:
10.5
Height:
5' 10"
Weight:
190

I'm a true 10.5, I would say 95% of the shoes I buy I fit in, and it's almost the case here. The length was perfect, but I found them to be too narrow. My heel and the sides of my feet could feel the outsoles, making it very uncomfortable for me. This is the opposite case for the Loyaks that I bought, which I had to buy in a 10, and found them to be wider throughout the whole shoe. It's too bad because I've never seen such grippy soles on a shoe. I was practically sticking to my kitchen floor. I wish their sizing/fit were more consistent.

I wear these shoes almost every day. The fit is perfect and they are comfortable and durable. I actually have two pairs in different colors because I wear them so much.
