Why We Built The Backcountry Last Chair Stretch Insulated Pant

We blended recycled material with spandex, armored it with a highly breathable membrane, and packed it with heat to deliver the best pant for the hill: Our Backcountry Last Chair Stretch Insulated Pant. The soft material bends and breathes for optimal movement comfort whether we're grabbing edges in the park or slashing fresh fluff on steep runs. From puking powder to wet snow, the waterproof construction seals out moisture without stifling our microclimate, while the inner-thigh zips let us turn up the air when the late-season sun starts to heat things up. Built and filled with recycled materials, this pair doesn't just feel good but does good too.

Last Chair - Insulated

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Size Bought:
SM
Height:
5' 10"
Weight:
145

these are exactly what i was looking for. waterproof with a bit of insulation for cold days on the bike or walking around. wait maybe they aren't waterproof and i'm confusing with another pant i'm about to leave a review for... either way the insulation was the main feature i was seeking in these. when i say these run bit i'm only referring to the length. since these are snowboard/ski pants they are designed for wear with ski/ snowboard boots hence the wide leg opening. the opening is fine for me but there is about 1" of length i could do with out. but i just roll up the heel part of the pant and it's not a problem. i'm a real 5'10" so if' wearing a small then i would be safe to say these run large. great product tho.

No protection on inner lower leg

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

These ski pants are nice and check all the boxes for warmth, water resistance, fit, etc. I received them and was excited until I noticed that they offer no protection for errant ski edges that will definitely cut the inner lower leg of the ski pants. I have not seen a pair of ski pants in recent years that don’t offer a protective cover to avoid cutting the ski pants lower legs. Unfortunately, I’ll be returning them even though they match my needs to a tee otherwise.
