We built the Backcountry Runoff 2.5L Rain Jacket to be highly waterproof, breathable, and packable—the trifecta of a quality rain shell. The Pertex membrane boasts an impressive 20/20K waterproof, breathable performance to keep us moving up the trail in dry comfort. The jacket also features front, back, and side ventilation to release pent-up heat and moisture if we're climbing switchbacks and summits or starting to sweat in a summer thunderstorm. If it's dry out, the Runoff jacket stuffs easily into its own chest pocket to slip into a pack, purse, or luggage until we need it.

Back Flap Ripped Day 1

I LOVE this jacket. The weight, color, feel, breathability. The design is poor. The flaps on the back are very loosely connected with one single thread and the first broke the first day. The other three broke within a couple weeks. Wish I returned it.

I picked this rain jacket up before a trip to the Telluride Bluegrass festival and I am so glad I did! We endured torrential downpours, sleet, hail and cold temps. I will say it runs large but that is nice for layering like I had to do. I stayed dry and comfortable the whole time! The back vents are a thoughtful touch that I hope to enjoy soon in a warmer climate. The jacket is extremely light and packable with roomy pockets and great adjustability in the hood and the hem. Good job Backcountry.

Super comfy and light. Does a great job wicking water away while not feeling too hot!
