These things are easy to install out of the box. Pack great. Come with knife and everything needed for a quick install. Climb like a goat!

Terrible design
I have cut, installed tips and used bd skins in the past. They were great. This pair however I am beyond disappointed. Installing the tips is a nightmare. No instructional videos anywhere, tips seem too small to actually work on a 143mm ski tip. They don't sell a tip for a larger ski or have the adjustable ball baring for different size tips . The instructions are horrible. I bet they skin great if you are able to actually use them.

Innovation!
I love thoughtful, mechanical design! It’s been several years since I bought a pair of BD skins and trimmed the profile with the BD envelope opener-aarrgh! Now BD includes an excellent plastic blade holder that precisely and easily cuts the 3mm offset in situ! Awesome!!

Great Skins - Terrible new Tip Loop
This is my third set of BD Ascension skins; I have used them for years and loved them. However, I am extremely disappointed in the new Tip Loop system - it’s a nightmare to install. They changed the screw from a simple Philips head to a Torx screw that forces you to use the very flimsy Alen key that is completely useless. Secondly, it was a huge struggle to snap the screws after fighting to get screwed into the back clasp. Really wish they would have stayed with the old design that was much more user-friendly.

Climb Like a Goat
Well, almost like a goat this year...needed ski crampons this year, more then I would like to say! The skins have been great on all new snow types, yes, including wet!

These skins are really great, very durable, glue works perfect! The knife for trimming the skins works pretty good.

TiP loop adjustment
My skis are wide and I cannot get the tip loop to adjust. It should just slide apart for adjustment but mine are completely stuck.
