Why We Like The BLUE ICE Alpine Runner

From ice climbing to sport climbing, the BLUE ICE Alpine Runner helps us build quickdraws, anchors, and belay stations. The Alpine Runner is made out of a single strand of UHMWPE fabric for a super durable and moisture-resistant design. An abrasion-resistant covering shields the core strands for added safety and durability, while the single-strand design makes it easy to use and eliminates tangles. The Alpine Runner is available in three different lengths, so we can get the best length for our use case.

Better than dyneema slings

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

There is a trick to using these. When assembling your alpine draw, always pass the rope-end biner through the wall-end biner and clip the strand. Then lengthening will be quick every time. Grab the spine, tilt back, open the gate, and tilt down. But if you assemble it in the opposite way, it will get tangled and become a process to lengthen half the time. Fantastic product though. So nice to see that Blue Ice is putting out best in class products at mid pack prices. Might be my new fav gear company. Hope they eat Arc'teryx's lunch soon.
