Not only for runners!
First of all, I’m not a runner. I walk. I’m 70 years old and I have some balance issues and moderate bunions. My podiatrist suggested Brooks shoes. I wore Ghost 14s for 2 years. Very comfortable but a bit too much bounce, which messed with my balance. So I purchased the Adrenaline GTS 23 and this is a fantastic shoe. It gives me better traction, the perfect amount of support and I feel the ground, whereas with the Ghost, there was too much cushioning and I felt unsure about my footing at times. I work with a lot of young people and I had so much attention on my balance I was having trouble keeping up! But now I am so much more balanced and sure-footed, I am able to walk fast, I’m extroverted and I’ve increased my motion, speed and step count as a result! I know these shoes are primarily for runners but I am hoping others like me read this and purchase these awesome shoes. Plus I definitely recommend them to my friends, kids and grandkids!

Not for me unfortunately
I have been wearing Brooks for years and they are my go to provider for running shoes. Unfortunately this pair did not work for me. I am an overpronator and usually experience knee problems which Brooks running shoes usually help to eliminate. However with this pair of running shoes for the first time ever I experienced pain in my hips when running as well as in the knees. Since I have switched to a different pair of shoes the pain has ceased, thankfully.

My go to road shoe
I've been running in Brooks Adrenaline GTS for years. I over pronanate so need support esp as I run distance. I've always valued the support and cushion level in Adrenaline GTS. However this most recent model (23) don't feel quite right and I think it's rhe cushioning. There feels less this time around, there is not as much springback from the road which is noticeable. I also wish that the wide fitting was on more of the colours options. I feel the GTS has got slightly narrower this year too and wish I had brought a wide pair. And I really wish the toe box area would be reinforced to help stop natural toe lift creating a small hole in the mesh at the top. However on the plus side I do totally value the Run Happy 90 day guarantee for sending back trainers which just don't feel quite right. I wish all manufacturers offered this.

Outstanding quality! Flexible, breathable fabric and adjustable laces that stay how they are tied makes a comfortable perfect fit.
The quality and comfort is the best. The excellent cushioning and narrow fit allows me to keep walking—I have joint problems. Very few shoemakers provide narrow sizes sizes smaller than size 7. I am grateful, have three pair and one pair that is at least 10 years old! Wish Brooks would make inserts and dress shoes too.

Very impressive!!
I love these shoes! I did not buy them for running. I wanted a supported shoe for walking in Italy. I walked about 12 miles a day on crazy uneven street. These shoes kept my feet comfortable all day!! I highly recommend!!

comfy, cushioned, good for wide feet
I have wide feet and these fit perfectly- I got the wide ones-plus I can wear them with trainer socks rather than having to size up with thick socks. I wear them for everyday walking around the city and so far so good.

Not my favorite
These are longer than the ghosts, making sizing difficult. Where I normally wear a 7, I should’ve gotten a 6.5 in these probably. The decals on the side also started peeling after one run. Next time I’ll stick to the ghosts.

Trust the Shoe Finder Quiz!
I had spent some time researching running shoes as I was new to running and always getting blisters in my old nike trainers. I come across Brooks as they were highly recommended. I did the shoe finder quiz and it gave me 3 shoes I should try, however I chose to ignore advice and go for a pair I prefered the look of (ghost max) I ran at least 50km over the course of multiple runs in my Ghost Max's and whilst SO comfy and light, I always got blisters, hip pain & knee pain, so I decided to use the 90 day trial run offer and I returned them. No questions asked by Brooks, they refunded me the next day and I ordered the Adrenaline GTS 23 (which were a recommended shoe in the first place!) I ran once in these and returned again for half a size bigger as they were tight around my toes and I could see it being a long term problem. Again, no questions asked I received a refund the next day & have since got these in the perfect fit. So comfortable & supportive! Not quite as soft as the Ghost Max's but no sore feet & hip/knee pain non existent! So so so happy with these, really appreciate the 90day trial as it helped me get the perfect shoe & fit. Have recommended to every runner I know and will be wearing these for my first half marathon later in the year :)

A constant favourite
Have had this model for several years now and will continue to keep buying. Have 3 pairs of Brooks on rotation and this is always one of them. Have wider feet but find this has room for toes and is not restricting anywhere. Comfortable shoe and supportive. Really happy with these - good for indoor and outdoor running
