I’m a huge fan. Comfortable and functional.

I love these way more than I thought I would. Have worn them at least part of every day since receiving them. I’ve river rafted, hiked, and worn them casually. I have a wide foot and just can’t wear many standard width shoes/sandals without a lot of discomfort. Tried some standard width sandals of various brands in stores and just couldn’t find anything that wasn’t painfully tight on my forefoot. Took a chance and ordered these online in a wide width and they’ve been better than I could have hoped. I like that I can loosen the buckle and slip my feet in without tightening them for a quick trip in the car or to the store. They’re not sloppy at all when worn casually like that. The also don’t alert everyone from a mile away like a flip flop does. Flip flops were my go to before because they don’t pinch my wide forefoot. Flip flops don’t work for hiking though. I actually prefer the fit of these causally over a flip flop too because there’s nothing between my toes. When it comes time to hike, they’re perfectly adjustable. Hiked a steep trail to a waterfall and didn’t have any trouble with traction or my foot slipping around inside the sandal on steep inclines and descents. Best part was being able to wade into the stream without worrying about them slipping off or having to deal with wet socks like I’d get with boots. These will be a three season sandal for me. Won’t be putting them away until it’s too cold to go outside in them. I was a flip flop guy before to run a quick errand in the summer, but I find these are more comfortable and have a few other added benefits without any downside. My only desire would be more color choices than black in a wide width. These seem to be holding up great so far. Won’t hesitate to buy another pair as long as these prove to be durable in the longer term.

Z/Cloud Wide

I bought these to replace a ten+ year old pair of Z2 sandals because they're available in a wide size. The footbed is very comfortable but the straps compared to my old pair are much thinner making them more difficult to put on. I've only worn them a dozen or so times so I have no idea how they will hold up compared to my older sandals.

Z Cloud Wide - Crazy wide heel

The shape of the footbed makes no sense. I normally wear wide width shoes because of my wider mid / forefoot. Most wide shoes have a heel the same width, with a wider mid/forefoot so I presume most people are like me with a normal width heel. I’ve included a photo of my old Z1 sandals on top of the Z Cloud Wide to illustrate the crazy wide heel, less wide mid foot and nearly the same width forefoot and toes. They feel weird to walk in because of the wide heel and feel loose in the heel even when cinched up tight. I’m returning these and going back to the regular width Z sandals which may be a bit narrow for me in the mid/forefoot but at least they don’t have a weird heel.

Unbelievably poorly shaped footbed (Wide version)

First I’m going to say the original Z1 is my all time favorite sandal. The only problem is my feet are wide, so the straps bowed out around them and they are as wide as the sandal footbed at the mid foot - distal. Like most people with wide feet, my width issue is in the mid foot and distal. Not in the heel. Imagine my surprise and dismay when these clown sandals arrived. For some reason some engineer thought a wide footbed meant much wider in the heel than the mid foot and distal, when in fact the opposite is true. These sandals are about 1/4 inch wider at the mid foot, about the same width as the regular Z at the toes but are a full half inch wider at the heel??? It makes no sense at all and whoever designed these things needs to go back into training and learn about the anatomy of wider feet.

Best sandals I’ve ever owned

I love thèse. They are thick, rigid, solid, adjustable, and comfortable. I’d wear them all day, every day, if I could.

Slippery when wet

I was an early adopter of Chaco and have worn the brand for years. I picked up a new pair for my trip to Tokyo and was shocked when I slipped and almost fell repeatedly on a rainy day. I thought maybe they use some kind of lubricant to remove them from the mold and I washed them with warm water and soap when I got to my hotel room. The next time it rained, I was slipping and sliding again. I’ve always loved my Chacos and I’ve always thought of them as the perfect adventure water sandal. I’m really disappointed. I wonder if it’s a new kind of rubber sole? In any case, I can no longer recommend them.

Excellent buy!

I love these sandals! The footbed is so comfortable, and they fit like a glove. I was worried they wouldn’t be wide enough, but they are perfect.

Once sized there great

Nice sandals. Had regular size customer service suggested wide width. That didn't work still to tight. Moved up one size fixed problem no more rubbing . Took to Hawaii and walked 15 miles in them.
