EDELRID Sirana TC Harness
The SIRANA TC signed by the famous big wall climber has the same features as our all-round alpine harness, the SIRANA with 28 mm Slide Block buckles. The new center fit construction offers sliding waist belt padding that can be centrally positioned and enables the harness to be optimally adjusted. The gear loops have also been modified. The new, enlarged form makes them easier to use and their soft material enables them to be compressed to a compact size when storing the harness. The new attachment points for ice screw carabiners are laminated and integrated into the waist belt. The new positioning of the buckles on the leg loops makes both these and the strap ends easier to use and positions the buckles in an area that exposes them to less abrasion. The slightly larger central ring with an HMPE-kernmantle construction improves wear comfort. The stylishly designed SIRANA is manufactured in an environmentally-friendly and resource-saving manner that complies with the strict requirements of the bluesign® system.

Huge updates from previous version

I had the previous Sirana in Size S. I bought the new version in size M. I am 31" waist. I think my waistline sits between the sizes. The old S I really liked but the length between waist and legs was quite small and I felt it made the legs ride quite high up. New version in M feels a bit too big. It is safe but when I close the buckle, even with the free floating webbing innovation that they have introduced, it doesn't sit amazingly. That being said it does feel comfortable overall. Major revisions: 1: the waist buckle is now much larger than previous version which I don't like as much. 2: The structure is a bit more rigid in general. The previous model packed so small and collapsed easier into a crag bag. 3: new gear loops are just uncoated plastic. The loops sit very far forward on me and it can be annoying sometimes when I am trying to make take something off to place a piece on the wall as it is not the best location for my body. Would S have been better? I just followed the Edelrid size guide so am a bit confused! 4: The inner lining is totally seamless and feels very nice on the body. 5: The belay loop is very soft and collapses. The previous version had a rigid loop which was great for slapping a HMS Biner onto with one hand. The soft structure of the new harness means that a biner doesn't snap across it as easily. 6: The red color is nice but you have to accept TC has his signature on it ffs. I mean, whatever, its a harness right. Chose this over nearest competitor (BD Solution) because of that 4th loop and the multi pitch potential of that. Plus Bluesign materials which feels nice for the soul. Careful with sizing is all I can really say in summary.
