Whether you’re shopping for someone who’s into an activity you’re not familiar with, or you’re uncertain of what will fit them, or maybe you just want them to unwrap something completely unique and unexpected this season, our Gearheads bring their expertise right to your shopping experience. Jean’s Tip:
Jean emphasizes that you’re not alone when it comes to shopping; Gearheads are there to lend a hand. “The holidays can already be stressful enough, not to mention shopping for them. Navigating multiple websites, zeroing in on a choice, tracking receipts, and getting it all done in time …. yikes! I can help you find the perfect gifts, especially for the special women in your life—narrowing your selection, getting the sizing right, and keeping track of of your purchases. Zach’s Tip:
If it does come down to the last minute (it happens to the best of us), Zach suggests picking up some Backcountry gift cards, which are a win-win. They let the recipient find the ideal gift to suit their particular needs. But giving the gift of options doesn’t have to be a last-minute present. Maybe your loved one couldn’t think of anything they wanted this year. Or perhaps they’re just impossible to buy for—we all know someone like that. “Be sure to let the recipient know about Gearheads, so they can get help picking just the right gear to buy with the gift card you gave them.”
Ryan’s Tip:
Shop early! Among other things, doing this lowers the stress of crunch-time deliveries, and you’ll avoid higher shipping charges for last-minute orders. “My wife is the best shopper; she buys Christmas presents in July or totally random times! Since not everyone is like her, I’m here to help. I can give you great ideas and help to start checking off that list. Then you can get down to enjoying the season sooner. Getting your orders in earlier also lets you enjoy perks like free two-day shipping on Backcountry, but only until December 20th so it’s important to be on top of that.”

Jean has one final tip for the last-minute shopper: “Many people don’t realize that we have a retail store, right at our warehouse. It’s a great last-minute resource for holiday shoppers, since you can walk out in minutes with just the right gift! Whether you’re local or are coming to Utah for the holidays, it can can be a lifesaver.”
