Why We Like The Hoka Anacapa Breeze Mid Hiking Shoe

Building upon the success of the original, the new Anacapa Breeze Mid brings more ventilation and a more eco-friendly construction to Hoka's signature day hiking boot. This lightweight hiker now features highly ventilated mesh uppers for a more comfortable microclimate when hiking in the heat—along with Hoka's super-cushy midsoles for balanced cushioning and comfort on the trail. Soft nubuck leather adds some durability and protection while the shoe is mostly made with rPET derived from recycled bottles to reduce waste and consumption of virgin petroleum. It's a comfortable pick for deserts and hot weather hikes where we want a little "breeze" to keep our feet from overheating as we charge up switchbacks or hike fast and light on our favorite, after-work trails.

Please Make This Color a Permanent Choice!

I loved these boots so much, I ordered a second pair! I was afraid you'd discontinue the color. I purchased these for summer hiking, since they have the breathable mesh. I also work a part time job that requires boots and we walk on a lot of asphalt and concrete, so I ordered a second pair!!! They have excellent lugs for good grip and keep my feet cool and comfy!!!

Blister causing

My husband got me these and I wanted so badly to love them but after trying them many times, they give me terrible blisters every time. They're so sheer and tight that you have to wear a very specific sock (more like a liner) with them or they'll force your sock seam to cut your foot. They're light but they're a little too bendable. They just don't have the support or comfort of a standard hiking boot.

Front ridge catches on my toe

These are cool and seem comfortable and like they'd make great hiking shoes. Unfortunately, the ridge on the interior toebox catches my toe with each step, so I never got past the try-on phase.

So light

Very comfortable. Very light. Looks cute. Haven't gone on any long hikes yet, just neighborhood walks.

It didnt work for me

I bought three HOKA hiking/trail running shoes: the anacapa, the speedgoat high rise, and the kaha to see which would work best for me. The Anacapa runs long (longer that the other two), the internal arch made my foot sore after only one mile (the right more than the left). I mention this because I thought that this was because difference on my feet, but I found other review that was also complaining regarding the fight foot hurting more). The ankle is too wide and doesn't provide good support. I tend to sprain my ankles often and I need a high shoe with good support. The Anacapa performed worse than the Kaha for hiking and worse than the Speedgoat for trail running. I am returning.

The most comfortable hiking boot!

I knew of Hokas quality and trusted your boot would be excellent too. I wore it all day yesterday and it was perfect even out of the box!

I will continue to buy Hoka shoes and I will tell everyone

After a small snafu with getting the correct shoe. I am very happy with the shoes look and the fit.

WOW. Converting to Hokas

Easiest recommendation I've ever made. I have incredibly sensitive feet and was able to do 7 miles of hiking on my first day wearing these. No blisters and my feet didn't hurt one bit!
