Clifton 6 Running Shoe

The Clifton family is one of the most popular shoes in the HOKA ONE ONE product line, and for good reason. They're known for providing you with a comfortable step, easy gait transitions, and a durable construction. Expanding upon the success of its previous iterations, the Clifton 6 Running Shoe is designed with a softer upper, slightly softer midsole, and reduced weight to continue to keep you comfortable during your everyday runs.

Continuing in the tradition of being soft and light, the Clifton 6 provides signature HOKA ONE ONE cushioning with early stage Meta-Rocker to provide you with a smooth roll from impact to toe-off to drive you forward through your gait cycle. Its embroidered upper locks your foot in for a secure fit while reducing the overall weight of the shoe. Strategic high-abrasion rubber zones across the sole also reduce weight to keep you light on your feet while still providing you with the traction required for your road runs.

Transitioned from trail running to road and picked up the Clifton 6 for that purpose. Great shoe outside of a couple items. First, the insole of the shoe is horrible. I've had blisters on both feet from the mid-sole. Fixed this by covering the insole with a sock. Second, the softer padding on the base of the shoe deteriorates within 150 miles of use. The appearance of the shoe is ideal but lacking in performance.

Does not hold up, runs small

I have two issues with these shoes and Hoka One. First, the shoes do not last an acceptable amount of time. THe material on these shoes began cracking and splitting within a couple months from purchase (see photo). Hi had only use them maybe 25 times. I had another pair of Hoka?s I Purchased about the same time which the soles and heels broke down completely within six months with minimal use. The second issue is fit and comfort. The shoes I purchased ran small in size and hurt my feet. My feet are size 10. I generally buy a 10 1/2. These were 10 1/2 that I purchased. My toes hit the end of both shoes. The shoes were very tight in the toe area squishing and hurting them. They also were tight around the ball area of my feet. They have been so uncomfortable that I have essentially not worn them for quite a while. I guess they are destined to go in the trash. I can not recommend this model or Hoka shoes in general.
