i would buy this product again

these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, especially for first time. Usually need a broken in time, but not these. Only thing I didn't like was they could be a bit wider.

I bought these to potentially use on the Inca Trail but cant's quite pull the trigger yet. They are comfortable around the house (I am an avowed Speedgoat fan) but in any case the purple colorway is so lurid (and I like color) I will be exchanging them for the sage. Maybe those will convince me

Terrible product and terrible customer service. I have a pair of Hoku shoes and the quality of the ones from Backcountry are opposite like knock offs. It’s best to stick with ordering from Amazon due to best return policy and customer service.

I returned this product before using it

I did have to return the sneakers because they run large. They run quite large. I am normally either a nine or 9 1/2, and the 9 1/2 an entire size too big on my foot. I was going to just exchange them for a size 9, but then I found a pair of Columbia, hiking shoes for literally half the price. Otherwise, I would have definitely replaced the ones that I had.

The best boots!

These are the best! Just like the speedgoat grip, these high tops make bouldering fun. I feel confident wearing these is all conditions and landscapes! Definitely recommend!

Absolutely loved these hikers BUT- not wide enough

I regularly order the wide width options for my Hokas, but thought per reviews the toebox on these mid high hikers would be comfortable in width. Loved everything about them, color, soft tongue cushion, mid height was perfect. About 3 miles into a 6.5 mile hike however, the width became a problem - definitely not wide enough. Ugg, hated to return them. Please Hoka remember your loyal customers who love your shoes but need the wide width option!!!

I love Speedgoats, and these are the most comfortable version so far! Please keep this wider toe box, it is perfect. Seriously, these are the most comfortable MID GTX ever!

Will buy again

First of all I am extremely picky about shoes, I am also a nurse and swear by my hokas for work. I have purchased many popular hiking boots and had issues with all of them. Up until these I've been hiking in altra shoes which are great but not for WV winter climate. I have about 75-100 miles on these boots so far which I feel is long enough to give an honest review. I am mid/plus size weight and around 5'6, these shoes have plenty of room in the ankle and I don't feel crammed in. They have performed well in the wet conditions traction wise and so far have remained dry inside. I wore them on a three day trip in the national forest in 30 degree weather and with basic cold weather socks I stayed warm the whole time. I have flat wide feet so I feel like they are true to size for me however might run big to others. I feel sure these will last me a while but I will absolutely repurchase and have recommended them to all my friends.
