Why We Like The HOKA Tecton X 2 Trail Running Shoe

We lace into HOKA's Tecton X 2 Trail Running Shoe for lively, nimble performance as we race along root-riddled, stream-sliced singletrack. The high-tech platform features HOKA's most responsive foam and dual carbon fiber plates to propel into fast and forceful transitions. As we splash through water crossings, the new light and breezy upper evicts lingering moisture and dries off quick.

THE BEST Yet

I bought the first Bondi ever made and never looked back. The HOKA TECTON X 2 is perfect for running and for walking, hiking or flat tracking. This shoe is a Bondi with incredible responsiveness and it holds you to whatever surface you are running or climbing or walking on. This is my 2nd pair ! If you like the Bondi but want abit more oomph under your feet - this is the shore for you!

Most Comfortable Sneakers - Like Walking on Air

A friend had recommended Hoka but I was unfamiliar with the brand. I decided to jump full in with this pair of sneakers. I've had problems with pain in my heels and shin splints over the years. These shoes are possibly the most comfortable and light sneakers I've ever owned. Heel pain is gone and shin splints are far less. They genuinely make me want to run (and I'm not one to love running).

Insoles need help

I have been running in Tectons religiously since the first version, the insoles in the X2 continue to bunch up and get caught in the shoe. It's beyond frustrating I have tried super glue but a lot of the time I end up having to run with no insoles

Bad

The shoes arrived without return label. No worries I liked it. Where it twice. The third time I noticed a tear just befor the laces. So I called Hoka the recording said no return table go to website and print it. The way I look at it for the amount of money I paid I should provided with a return label and free pickup. I do not have printer. I can't print at work. It's a hassle I will not buy Hoka again.

toe box too narrow

This shoe is light and responsive; would love it for speed work on the trail, but the toe box is too narrow which causes metatarsal pain. This also ran a little short, as my other Hoka's are all size 8, but in these my toes hit the end of the shoe. Will keep my eye out to see a different version with more toe room, as the rest of the shoe felt great. Loved the upper and how secure the heel and midfoot felt.

Favorite trail Shoes!

Great trail shoe with tons of sole support and grip. I love the carbon plate technology. The carbon in the sole helps me to stop bending my big toe which normally causes pain. These shoes propel you and are super speedy. Breathable upper is perfect for hot days and lets your feet breath nicely. Love the colors!

So light and fast!

I love my Hoka Tecton X2s! It's like running on clouds. I am a slow low-mileage runner, but it is what keeps me sane and healthy. I mostly run on trails in the woods or sandy trails near the coast. These shoes work well under both conditions. Nimble enough for root-bound wooded trails and responsive on mushy sand. And they are so light! And comfortable! I really love them.

Life changing

Legitimately amazing trail shoe. Light but still supportive and responsive. Let me climb rocks in Moab like a little spider monkey. Tread holds up through many rocky conditions. You should probably buy these!

Great Shoe!

I really love the Tecton X shoe. My foot doctor recommended the Carbon X but it is no longer available. HOKA "chat" helped me by recommending the Tecton X instead and I am very pleased with it.

My New replacement for the Bondi X. The perfect amount of cushion and stiffness. Helps greatly with my hallux rigidus - I am flexing my big toes less with carbon plate in the sole. I have appreciated them greatly on light trails as well as long pavement walks/runs. Sole is pretty sticky/gripping in wet conditions. I will definitely be purchasing another pair.
