Hoka warning
Hoka warns that this shoe is only for running. False, it is also contraceptive.

Ugliest most awkward shoes ever!
I've never seen an uglier pair of shoes. I've purchased about 10 different Hoka's over the last 4-5 years. These things were just unlike anything I've seen. Awkward to look at, awkward to wear. I would never be seen in public with them on, yes, that bad. Everyone I've shown them to agrees.

Not for everyone, BUT
I don't think most people understand these shoes. Run it in a road race? No, too heavy. Trail racing? Nah, still too heavy. Mountain climbing? Also no. However, where these shoes shine nothing compares. Flying down a trail like a madman? Yep, these are the absolute gold standard. I'm a fast twitch monster and these are the shoes that are closest to track spikes. I've completely obliterated downhill trail records in these on my phone app and I'm less than a year from 40. The shoes mount you on a platform that offers tremendous support. Tons of cushioning allows you to plow through rocks and what not. Be careful with these, I can run faster than I could have ever imagined downhill and it has caused some limited muscle strains based on how fast I'm moving. You'll most likely adapt. Same holds true for the heels of my feet, I can't move this fast in any other shoe and the impact pressure based on the speed I'm moving wears away at my heels. Currently on my 3rd pair in 6 months, I rip through these but they're really fun. I'm size 10.5 and a 10 is a perfect fit.

Sadly I returned this item in exchange for a different style
Comfortable. Took pressure of my heel. But, too awkward looking to work in. Exchanged for a different style.

Not much cushioning or support
I could only trail run a quarter of a mile before I noticed my feet and knees starting to hurt. This doesn't happen with my hoka challengers.

I might buy again - but only at a lower price
The shoes are good, but have taken some time to get used to - but much to expensive - also they feel a little softer in the fore foot than they do in the rear of the shoe

Orthopedic Clown Shoes
Even though the shoes look like orthopedic clown shoes they run really well - I will add more information at a later date

Love these
I put these on for my first run and usually takes a few runs to break my shoes in, but not for these. First run felt great I went for 6 miles. My feet were not tired after nor did my knees hurt. Highly recommend.
