Torrent 3 Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Where did my outsole go..

The originals were pretty great, but the outsoles no longer stand up to anything. It's pretty rocky here in AZ but I have to shoe goo the tread back on after every run. Not sure what happened to the quality. My wife and daughter also use torrents and it has happened across all our shoes. So disappointed.

Downgrade from prior Torrents

I had two pairs each of the Torrent and Torrent 2 - they were my favorite trail shoes for everything between a 2 mile jaunt with the dog and a 50k. The Torrent 3s are..not great. Hoka used a rubber compound for the sole that becomes incredibly slippery with any moisture whatsoever underfoot. You'd think making shoes that aren't death traps if it happens to rain would be a fairly well understood material science thing, but I guess not. They're also starting to peel on the sides, something that was an issue on the Speed Instinct line that preceeded the Torrent line. Going with two stars instead of one because they still feel good to run in (if it's dry...)

Perfect Fit

First, the reviewers who say this shoe is narrow are correct. But it works great for me since I have a narrow foot. That said, Hokas are a game changer for providing comfort/support for high use, in my case walking, and the Torrent 3 is no different.

Absolutely love these shoes !

Bought them for work, and after wearing them all day, I find myself not taking them off as soon as I get home like I did my others.

Tread pulling apart after two months.

I love these shoes, bit after two months of light usage (I rotate pairs of running shoes) the lugs started to peel off. Other notes are that they are indeed very stiff, but that's to be expected for "responsive" shoes.

i am unsure about another purchase

they are cracking on both sides, now I have to go through the hassle of doing a return/exchange.

Excellent Walking Shoe

Great to walk in. Supports foot so well. Fits perfect on my size 15 foot. Nice to. Wear when standing a lot. Give this one an A+

Great shoes for walking and work.

I purchased the shoes because I have always had a great experience with HOKA. These shoes don't disappoint. They're very comfortable. I'm a fan of the Torrent series. So the style I love a lot.
