Why We Like The Zerraport II Sandal

With the combined comfort of a lightweight sandal and a protective hiking shoe, the Zerraport II Sandal is an ideal everyday style. These versatile sandals keep our feet happy whether we're playing with the family at the beach or hiking up a trail laden with babbling creeks. The open-foot webbing lets water drain so our feet can dry quickly, preventing blisters and related discomfort, while the rugged closed-toe keeps our piggies protected from loose rocks and protruding roots.

I like them

Super comfy, original and minimalistic design, very light. Only drawback: slippery when wet.

design centric

awesome progressive design and function, easy on off, great front bumper protection and comfortable sole. from a product design/style point of view, the best keen product. runs slightly large for the narrow foot, but should not be an issue for most.

Lovely lightweight sandals

These are ideal summer sandals. Great fit, bantam weight but sturdy and easy on the eye. I must point out that that I had to return four different pairs of sandals before I reached Zerraport11. All the sandals I returned didn’t fit for various reasons. Either the toe cup was too tight or the back strap which used to be adjustable was too loose or too tight or the sandal was too narrow. All the various models I returned I’ve actually worn in the past but for reasons unknown (to me) Keen have changed the design and manufacture of these once loved sandals. Why? I ask myself and more to the point I ask Keen.

Less is more

These replace an old pair of Keen sandals that had been my bicycle riding sandals. They have survived a lot of exposure and were done. The Zerraport sandal is much easier to put on and adjust as well as remove when my ride is finished. So far, they have been great.

Best Keen Ever!

Zerraport- my favorite style, I’ve had a few. Light and airy, pack well. Great for water sports with outstanding toe protection. Quickest drying of all my Keens. Best tan lines- wear sox or sunscreen if don’t tan. Bummed to miss out on the Jerry Garcia colors last year.

I want to love these but…

I love the way these look and really want to love them … but they just don’t fit well. I want the strap that connects near my big toe to be further back … and for the main strap to be longer… I hope they improve this model as it appeals on most levels except actual fit.

second best

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my women's Zerraport II . . . but have been unable to find a second pair in size 10.5. I have searched and searched. I purchased the men's pair in hopes of them being an adequate substitution. Sadly, they are not. Will you EVER be offering the Zerraport again?

Oversized and uncomfortable

I love my Newport H2s, which I wear extensively. They run small for my shoe size (had to replace size 10 with 11 to fit). Thus, I chose size 11 for the Zerraports. They came true to size (large), and feel uncomfortable, especially in the toe area. As they have fewer straps and feel less solid than the Newport H2s, I'm returning the Zerraports.

Good for river rafting and especially wading in river

I bought my pair specifically for the purpose of training as a rafting guide, knowing that when it came to wading in rivers, like when pulling a boat a short distance, it's easy to damage my toenails in open-toed shoes (as with my Chacos). This pair appealed to me in that it has nearly the same amount of openness of a Z2 Chaco (which helps prevent sand, mud, debris build up) while adding in toe protection that the Z2 lacks. It worked well except for when I went swimming a rapid and my toes slipped out the the toe covering entirely. Not a big deal, as I could then tighten down the strapping, but it was a slightly risky situation trying to swim with my shoes flapping about. Overall they dry well, drain well, and are comfortable. My extra wide feet were only slightly cramped before entering the water, when the shoes stretched a bit, but I wore scuba socks in them, which made them feel a little tighter than necessary. Love the concept and practicality. Style is lacking, but in my situation it's a low priority. Thanks for making these, Keen! Ben J
