so far so good

The boots feel really solid/waterproof. So far I've only trudged though the forest a few times in snow without any issues at all. Very happy. Toe box is narrow so be aware if you have a wide foot. I sized up half a size and they were perfect

Superbe qualité

Bottes de très belles qualité, semble solide (pas assez utilisé pour le dire). Languette matelassée très confortable. Très belle couleur Je fais du 12 US normalement et j'ai pris du 12.5 et c'est parfait

Warm Boots

This is an amazing pair of boots. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is that a bit more cushion is needed in the sole. I recently wore these boots while ice fishing and hiking in ankle deep snow for a week. Had no issues with my feet getting wet or cold.

Great feel

I've have 5 short hikes to date in these boots. Initial impression was the boots are a bit snug even going up a half size. With a good hiking sock there was room for my toes but felt tight across my foot. By hike 4 I've adjusted to the feeling and I'm glad I choose the size I did. These boots can accommodate a wide foot but would not recommend for an extra wide foot. Laces seem to slip a bit if not double knotted. I've not tested in any extreme temps yet, so far 25-60F they're been great. Grip is perfect so my uses so far. Plenty of support and the color combinations are fun. I've been a Marine fan for some time, these match well with the other Mammut products.

Great 3 season boot

Used heavily on dry glaciers and rock! Performs well, pretty narrow to box, but the my best fit. Would be great for late season conditions in the cascades or in the rocky mountains during the summer. Solid water proofing, maybe use gaiter if you are marching all on snow!

Solid 3.5 season mountaineering boot

Wore it on one expedition into Swiss Alps had various conditions work them in fro snow shoe, crampon and boot punch through 2-3ft slushy wet snow held up great waterproofing solid and laces didn't get loose once while wearing gaiters. Some sore pinky toe spots and very marginal heel lift wearing light weight hiking socks. Overall solid boot. Only reason it doesn't have 5 stars is cant tell about durability with just one multi day trip.

These are very comfortable for alpine boots. I've taken them out on a long day hike to break them in and I didn't have any blisters at all. Looking for to wearing them into alpine terrain.

PNW recommended - Mammut Kento Advanced

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I was looking for a boot to handle 3-season mountaineering conditions in the PNW, ideally boots that can balance between long approaches on scree/dirt and support on moderately-steep snow that you find on PNW volcanoes (St. Helens, South Sister, Mount Adams). These Mammut Kento Advanced seem to be the perfect balance. The half-shank provides good traction without too much bend on the approaches, while still providing good support on rock. They're also stiff enough to kick-step and plunge step without issue. I primarily use strap-crampons for mountaineering, but these are hybrid compatible too. They're a boot that provides the same comfort whether on snow, rock, dirt, or scree. While testing them out, our party got hit with some snow/hail and a decent drop in temps (down to about 25F). The dryest part of me were my feet, which were warm and comfortable with only 1 sock. My feet tend to sweat, and these boots ventilate really well for Gore-tex. I do also like the high uppers that provide at least a base to protect from snow/dirt getting in my shoes w/o gaiters. Mammut's sizing seems to fit a bit wider of a foot. I'm between an EU42/42.5 (US 9/9.5). Got these in a 42.5/9.5, and while they're a hair big, they'll fit perfect when I add a liner and replace in the insole. Definitely recommend trying them on and walking around inside.

Solid lightweight hiking boot

Love this boot and looking forward to putting some miles on them this summer. A bit narrow in the toe box. Stock boot and insole have little to no arch support but nothing a good insole didn't fix. and I usually add insoles anyway so no complaints there. Have a trip planned in a few weeks with some glacier travel so will see how they work with crampons.

Awesome approach boot

Amazing approach boots. I have worn them for the past two weeks doing scrambling and guiding via ferrata, they are holding up well. The rubber is great, I feel secure even on wet rock. It does wear a bit fast but nothing to be alarmed with. The sizing is hard. I usually wear size 44.5. I own LaSportiva TX4 44.5, Scarpa Phantom Tech 45.5 (a bit large) and TC pro 43.5. I have the Mammut Kento advanced High GTX in size 46. It is a bit large but I'm happy with the fit, no heal lift when properly laced and a good and large toe box. I don't think I could have bought then a whole size smaller, maybe 45.5 would have fit too. The leather is holding up well, a fair amount of rock scramble and forest work opening trails, the outside of the boot is still in good shape. Love these boots!
