Good quality and warmth for intense winter days

Used for: winter snowshoeing/hiking at -5 C to 10 C (sometimes with rain pants but usually just with running shorts), downhill skiing at 0 C (underneath insulated snow pants) Warmth: Excellent during intense activity. The fabric is thin but very breathable. Sweat never accumulates, even while climbing steep slopes. It's slightly thinner, hence more breathable, in specific areas: below the knees and along the sides of the hips and thighs. The trade-off is that it leaves me more sensitive to wind chill than my thicker, 100% wool tights do. I can fix that by throwing on a shell, however. Fit: Got the Small (I'm a skinny 5'7"/170 cm). It's tighter on the legs than expected, but still fairly comfortable. The waistband sits maybe an inch lower than I'd like for winter layering and I'm too skinny to keep it from slipping down when I try to pull it all the way up. Quality: No wear and tear after several uses in one winter season. Stays odorless thanks to the breathability and merino wool blend. Overall: This is now my go-to bottom for intense outdoor activities around 0 C. I would opt for something thicker if temperatures dropped far below freezing or in heavy winds.

Best Long Underwear I've used but...

I love the fabric and warmth provided by these pants but. On my second use the seam for the crotch broke open. It is not because they are to tight, I hope it is because of a loose thread. I hope it is warrantable.
