Why We Like The Mammut Ultimate VII SO Vest
Now in its 7th edition, the Mammut Ultimate VII SO Vest is a technical softshell made for year-round pursuits that call for a little extra something around our core. The GORE-TEX Infinium fabric gives us a windproof and highly breathable layer that takes the edge off chilly weather without us getting swampy as we knock off mile after mile or conquer another summit. We also like the 4-way stretch for comfort and mobility and the moisture-wicking lining, which keeps us drier and more comfortable as we get after it outdoors. The Ultimate vest also looks great for post-hike brews and everyday wear, too, thanks to its clean, streamlined look.

Ultimate VII SO Vest
Amazing vest. It fits me perfectly (6'4" 200 lbs.) and works great as a mid layer for a little extra warmth during chilly morning workouts.

Love the material and quality
Great to layer with or use as a main layer depending on the weather. I was outside for a few hours on a windy day in the 40's with the vest and a T-shirt on, felt comfortable the entire time. Will be my go to recommendation for a vest with anyone I come across. Plan to use this for years to come and take on all my travels.

Functionality
I am always wearing this now. On the mountain, climbing, try'n to look cool around town. Pockets are big enough for skins and the chest pocket just comes in handy for all kinds of stuff. Candy, glasses etc. Perfect for any level of athlete looking to figure out the perfect layering system.

I love it!
Warm, sleek, just enough pockets, and great quality. Perfect for that 40 to 50⁰ weather, long sleeve tee and this vest, perfect and looking good with Mammut.

Excellent extra layer
The northeast is getting rapidly colder, and this vest is exactly the right layer for fall temps. Paired with a light long sleeve shirt, I stay warm even in cold wind. I also love the material and the design, got serious Han Solo style going on.
