Fits Very Loose and Big
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to love my new Orion Gore-Tex jacket but it fits HUGE on me. Even wearing a thick polar fleece jacket as a mid-insulating layer underneath this jacket, there was way too much room to spare. The sleeves are extremely long and extend way past my fully extended fingertips. I bought a women's size small, but this jacket could fit a man! The waist is in dire need of an internal drawstring so you can control the mid-section of this jacket to provide a better fit. The hood desperately needs drawstrings at the front collar to cinch up all the excess material when not wearing a ski helmet. I had planned to snowshoe and hike in this jacket during cold winter months. Sadly, I had to return this jacket to the online retailer from whom I purchased it. The quality of the jacket material (3 layer Gore-Tex) was thick and excellent, and looks like it would wear well for many years of use. This Orion jacket would have been an excellent winter jacket for me, had it had a "slim fit" rather than the baggy, oversized fit that it now has. Marmot, please offer this Orion jacket for the Winter 2024-25 season in a slim fit . I am 5'4" and 115 pounds.

Great Jacket!
Recently purchased this hard shell jacket to stay dry. Am traveling to a very rainy area (downpours are common). I also needed something tough that could withstan wear and tear. This does the trick. At 28000 waterproof rating, it does the trick! The fit is a little boxy but that means room for layers and I can wear a soft down jacket underneath. I am 5' 9" and 160 lbs and got the XLarge. Its length fits to my thighs, adding some extra coverage. The zipper is a little finicky but I find that is true of many outdoor jackets. Hopefully it will get better with use. This is a heavier, thicker jacket so if you want something lighter and more packable, this may not suit those needs. Every jacket has its purpose and this fits mine perfectly. I love it!
