Hurts achilles tendon area
It goes high up on the achilles which rubs and hurts. Have to wear socks with them, which defeats the purpose

Not durable at all
Not worth it — after having these for 2 weeks they are falling apart. Used them for casual to light outdoor activity (no hikes) they are coming apart.

Bright orange for those summer days!
One of the best all around summer sneakers I’ve ever had! And they were in bright orange, how can you not love that?!?

Good concept - Build quality questionable
I bought these for holiday trip with the idea of using them later during NE summer. Within first day of usage, the stiching in front loop came off. The rubber portion caused a bruise as it was now coming in contact with skin. I used a band-aid and then hotel needle and thread to stich it as I did not have another pair. Not sure I can trust taking them on treks. Have 5 other Merrels but this one really disappointed.

I like them
Comfortable and cool. I wear them for work but after a couple of weeks the sole at the toe of the shoe started coming loose. Was really hoping these would last a while

Great shoes but not for him
Tight for elderly feet - these were for my husband who really needs shoes with good traction that are slip-ons. He loves his hydro mocs and we have gotten him a new pair, with fresh soles for a good grip. It's winter so these lined ones seemed like a good idea but his feet have lost flexibility and the lining made them just too hard for him to get on, with or without socks.

Why not a second pair?
Liked them so much, had to have a second pair. First pair was camo black colorway. Niche, unique, a cross between a sandal and a shoe. Comfortable, with or without socks. Airy, with a fair amount of support. The only caveat, you must discover the size that will work for purpose of shoe. My black pair is a 9M and is a little on the large size so, purchased the tan camo in a 8.5M. Too tight even without socks. Luckily Merrell provided a seamless exchange for a 9M, perfect. Interestingly, there is a difference between both pairs, the black pair runs noticeably larger.
