Why We Like The AirMesh 1/4-Zip Top

The AirMesh 1/4-Zip Top is both lightweight and incredibly warm for outdoor activity. Light mesh and fleece fabric absorbs sweat and dries quickly, but it also insulates when the weather makes a turn. A high neck provides extra coverage and warmth, and side seams prevent chafing to enhance comfort.

Great material and zip t design

First time wearing was resort downhill skiing.. felt super soft and comfortable and warmer than I thought it would be under ski shell. Looked great apres ski at the bar too.

Nice on sale if it fits you

Bought both hoody and 1/2 zip on sale. Half the shirts had the fleece oriented the wrong way causing a brushed effect which makes shirt ride up. Fit was kind of clingy and odd on my frame where the back of the shirt kept feeling like it was pulling back making the neck tight. I'm 6'1" tall and 170lb and the large was overall the right size, but the fit was just really odd on the 1/2 zip. 1/2 zip would have been great for heat dumping but with the odd cut it just feelt uncomfortable. Honestly I wouldnt pay full price for either 1/2 zip or hoody. Sale price, not bad price though if it fits you.

Great running jacket.

Very light and open. I wouldn’t expect any warmth out of this but would be great for a jog or hike on a cooler morning.

Great for backpacking.

Used on the. PCT. Very light and warm. Loose fitting and a bit bulky, but you can’t beat the weight to warmth. Very breathable and hydrophobic. Bought a second one.

Slam dunk again

I reviewed this shirt as a slam dunk when I first received it, and I want to add another thumbs up based on wearing this shirt on a lot more hikes. This is a fabulous shirt and it easily remains the best technical shirt I've ever owned. For instance, a couple days ago I went on a long early October hike in the North Cascades, and the entire 10-mile hike was on high exposed subalpine ridges. The temperatures were 41 degrees at the trailhead, with high winds and clouds blowing across the trail. I was wearing an ultralight short-sleeved capilene shirt, the AirMesh 1/2 Zip shirt, and a thin windproof vest. This was all I wore the entire day except for a very short section of the trail where the wind was funneled straight at me and I briefly put on a heavier shell. The AirMesh provided the perfect comfort and warmth the entire day and all I had to do was zip the vest open or closed to make micro-adjustments throughout the hike. Honestly, I love this shirt!

Super light and warm top

Bought to have a lightweight top to pack along for backpacking and bikepacking treks. It’s super light, warm and compresses well for stuffing in pack or dry bag. Definitively recommend!

Perfect light layer.

Nice shirt for cool days as an outer layer or would be great under additional fleece or sweater. Size L was just right for me at 6', 195#. With the perforations, the wind goes right through it but that is to be expected. The ventilation does allow for quick cool down and the thumb loops are a welcome feature.

Great top

Fantastic! Super light weight and soft. It somehow feels warm in cooler temps and cool in warmer temps. It is porous so susceptible to wind.
