Why We Like The Mountain Hardwear Nevadan Down Parka

Whether it's cold in the city or chilly at camp, we know the Mountain Hardwear Nevadan Down Parka will keep us warm. The down insulation is light and lofty to hold in our precious body heat while the insulated hood adjusts easily with the rear webbing adjustment to fit as loose or as tight as we'd like. It's cut to wear over our winter layers but tightens up with a dual drawcord adjustment at the hem and adjustable cuffs at our wrists. It's our go-to for everyday winter wear.

Great fit, great coat.

Great coat, great fit. I use this for nights up in the snow when I am outside.

Best winter coat I’ve owned (from a Minnesotan!)

Love! I love this winter coat! Warm, light, flexible, breathable. Sometimes I forget I have it on and wear it in the house!! Love love.

Best winter parka available! Beats the Canada Goose parka hands down!!

Light weight, extremely warm, lots of wonderful pockets inside and out! I bought the X-LARGE so I would have extra room. I’m 5’7 and weigh 155. This coat is so light weight the extra room is not bothersome to me. I also love the colour even though I’m not a big camo gal. The hood is also helpful on windy days and the coat zips all the way up protecting my neck without choking me. The many pockets are the best! All the other parkas I looked at only had a couple pockets with horrible zippers the scratched my hands! These pockets don’t do that and the inside pockets don’t have unnecessary zippers that only get in the way.

Perfect coat for cold climbing days!

Favorite coat! I love the length of this parka, it covers your butt but doesn't restrict movement by going down too far. I bought this for climbing and it is perfect for standing around when your bouldering or sport climbing. I absolutely LOVE all the pockets! The front chest pocket is super deep and roomy so I don't even bring a purse with me when I wearing it, plenty of room for phone, wallet, keys etc. There are two large pockets (not zippered) that I stash my climbing shoes in to keep warm, amazing! Love the brown color, it is unique, I get compliments on it all the time. I sized up and bought a medium so I could easily layer, 5'6 and 145 pounds.

Love this parka!

Love this parka! It’s super warm, cute, quality material, and is a game changer for me. I use to be cold all the time living in the mountains with 20-30 degree weather. Now I can be outside and stay warm.

New favorite jacket

Wore this every single day in December. The Dark Marsh color is beautiful, it's super warm and has great lined pockets so my hands don't get cold. The hood is amazing too and when it's fully zipped up it's great at keeping the wind and snow out of your face. Super convenient to just throw this on and be warm enough for anything.

Great jacket but sheds a lot of feathers

I absolutely love this jacket. Super warm, great fit, great color. My only gripe is the feather shed. There’s always going to be some with down, but this definitely more than I like.

COZYYYY

I got a Medium. I am 5'10" and currently (with my winter weight) 165lbs. I have a short torso and long arms and it fits almost perfectly. The middle is quite big, I feel like I could fit a basketball in there! Even though it's not super form fitting like my last jacket, it keeps me extremely warm! And it's great to have a puffy coat with long enough sleeves! I love the deep pockets and high neck. The strap on the back of the hood doesn't do much.. wish they would have just put a drawstring at the opening of the hood like usual....Overall I am super happy I got this!
