A Nursing students dream backpack

I spent many a year in multiple backpacks worth of trying to find the right one. I need something sturdy But light enough for me to take to work or school. I work in the medical field and I need a big Pack in order for need to take an extra pair of scrubs socks, and yes, the occasional change of shoes. This pack changes the game. I’ve taken it everywhere. Work, school and Travel. I put in a heavy 16 inch MacBook Pro and an 12.9 inch iPad Pro for nursing school and it still is comfortable. I got rid of the hip belts, I only use hip belts in the backcountry but other then that I love this pack, it will my go to every day nursing pack.

Very well built, very easy access

Phenomenal quality and very nice design. Extremely easy access with the rip-zip lid and the rip-zip exterior compartments. I love how Mystery Ranch managed to essentially build a modern ruck from the ALICE pack. Super simple and effective.

Great Pack-Most durable pack I own

I have the smaller Rip-Ruck and I loved it, but found it to be a bit small for some applications, so I bought the bigger one for daily use. Only complaints would be that the bottle holders on the side have a hard time holding larger bottles like a standard Nalgene bottle. When you set the back down bottles always want to fall out. Also wish the bigger bag had the same zipper all the way down the front like the smaller one but these struggles are splitting hairs. Over all great versatility and durability.

Winner Winner Turkey Dinner

I needed a pack that could adequately de-weight my shoulders like a hiking pack, be small enough to fit under a plane seat, sturdy enough to carry 40 lbs regularly, dedicated padded place for a laptop, and have compartments for miscellaneous things. The frame is not as sturdy as you’d expect from a hunting pack, but it is sturdy enough and most importantly you can increase the length of the frame to fit taller and bigger guys. Other backpacks in this style like from the 511 company do not have adjustable frame lengths and the shoulder straps are sewn straight into the top of the pack.

Great for Airline Travel

Amazing bag for Airline travel. Fits under the seat. I love the full harness and hip belt for the long hikes in the big airports. Side pockets fit my pillow and water bottle with ease.

Magnetic flaps and storage slots

I love everything about the pack but I do wish the laptop holder area had a bit of cushion and a strap to secure one of the pockets closed

This May be "The Back Pack"

This Pack is possibly the best pack/ laptop bag, I have ever used. and I have used ALOT of packs over the years from a Jansport book bag in 1980-83 in high school to any high end pack you can think of. I do wish the large frame was available when i purchased this pack. It holds too much and is potentially very heavy. I will be using it for vacation in February and will see how it is for that application. So far this is the best pack I have used for work and EDC. A EDC weapon holster hook and loop field would be awesome.

Great backpack, but needs small improvements

The backpack overall has been incredibly useful. The reasons I gave 4 stars are as follows: 1. The two front pockets lose their usefulness as soon as sizable items get added to the main compartment. I put a good amount of items into the main compartment for a flight and could barely fit two protein bars into either pocket. 2. The side pockets are wonderfully sleek. They suffer the same issue as the front pockets, but not nearly as bad. 3. The bottle holders on the side. When there are items in the main or side compartments, it feels like my water bottle is about to fall out of the side pocket. Adding a drawstring or maybe a bungee strap to help secure items in place would be amazing. 4. Slightly wider shoulder straps. The straps are very comfortable, but after a while, they start acting somewhat like a pressure bandage on the front of my shoulder and start slowing the blood flow to my arm to where it starts losing feeling. This product is great, but has issues with bulk and sizable amount of weight inside of the bag.
