Definitely a 5
I love to walk 2 miles mornings and 2 in the evening.. I made an indoor track for cold weather… these shoes are perfect for that except the 1 carpet strip of several causes clicking noise but great traction.. wanted to let others sleep while I walked and listened to a good audio western.. have several corners to turn and these shoes keep me from turning an ankle. Helps also when I reverse direction to improve balance…

Fresh Foam X Hierro Mid good/but
Very comfortable shoe! I knew it wasn't a stability shoe, but thought I would give it a try. I use superfeet insoles so I thought I might get enough stability that way. I was wrong. I'll wear it now and then, but if you need a stability shoe due to pronation, this is definitely NOT the shoe for you. My wife doesn't need stability and bought the women's version and loves it! VERY SOFT ride!

Comfortable but dirty
Comfortable but mesh gets dirty easy and hard to clean. I miss the mid cut umpire shoes!

Swing and a Miss
I have loved New Balance for 30 years thanks to the the 2E wide option so I was excited to order this shoe. Not much to like about this shoe other than it came in wide. Does not look good, has a weird fit and makes me hurt after I wear it. I was hopeful for a NB "hiking" shoe but I will stick with the NB wide tennis shoes.

Cloud-like comfort and crazy grip!
Great shoe. It is my first foray into a hiking shoe and the comfort and grip is amazing. I look forward to getting another pair in a different colorway. Fingers crossed that another pair will be released.
