This harness is super comfortable weighted or not. It appears to be very well made with quality materials and stitching. I bought it for multi pitch trad and double belay loops for rope solo. Although the appearance of it was of minor concern other than not wanting some color I didn't like, I got complements on the "good looking harness" (gray/black). I bought the large/extra large and with a 32-33 inch waist it was at about the smallest it would go cinched up.
