Surprisingly Light but Warm
Awesome coat! Incredibly lightweight but warm. Great during an early spring surprise snowstorm in Upstate NY.

Light, warm and feature packed
Happy with the Snowcrew jacket. Tons of features built in, light and warm for weight. I tend to be in between sizes a lot (5'11, 175lbs) and this jacket is no exception. Large a bit big and medium probably a bit tight. My biggest issue is the main zipper. Very tricky to get it lined up and working properly. Hope that this can be fixed in the future.

Third OR Jacket.. Love them all.
Third OR Jacket for me. This one replaced a circa 1980's red and blue deep cold jacket I was using that my kids were embarrassed to see me in. The Snow Crew is a Great Jacket. Been using it all seasons now. Same level of warmth as my old jacket, but lighter, easier to move in, better pockets / storage and all around solid. Waterproof and warm. I have two other lighter weight OR jackets that also do the job to a point, but this was has handled all the deep cold very well.

Good Insulation and Water Resistance, Troubled Features
As a shell it does the job. My issues lie in the features. The zippers might be the worst I've ever experienced. The main zipper constantly snags and if not fully zipped will poke you in the neck. The internal chest pocket zipper became "locked" shut and after 15 minutes of fussing at home the only option was to rip the zipper and stitch a new one in by hand. I've used this jacket for 2.5 years and it has done its job in the most basic sense, BUT for the price (acquired this jacket on sale) I honestly can't recommend it due to the frustrations I've dealt with. Pros: Warm, dry, durable (thus 3 stars) Cons: Zippers do not operate smoothly whatsoever, price

No response after 3 emails
The jacket itself is great. 5 stars Lightweight but enough warmth for a super cold chair lift. It was just the wrong size so I needed to return it.

Used for snowmobiling and has been great all around. Yes the zipper can be hard to zip. I considered the zipper to be tough no different than other outerwear with the same zipper that I own. This jacket is a shell with little insulation, thus I bought the large for under layers for low temps.

Great Resort and Around Town Jacket
I bought this jacket for skiing at the resort and also general around town wear. The jacket runs a little big, but I believe this is the style. I'm 5'7", 160 for reference. The hood is large but try wearing it at the resort over your helmet and you'll be in a warm cocoon when the wind is howling. The sleeve wrist openings appear large but try wearing a pair of gloves where the sleeves match up perfectly to keep out inclement weather. The tail is great for insulation sitting on the lift. The front chest pocket was well thought out to insulate a phone to keep it from dying in the cold and still reach it on the lifts. This jacket follows a similar style as lots of other companies but has the outdoor research quality and warranty to keep using it season after season. Not to mention it functions well for shoveling snow around the house, walking the dog in rain or snow, and other moderate intensity activities where the pit zips can be open. Just go easy on the zippers and forget what everyone says about bad zippers on this jacket.

Disappointed in durability
It fits nice and is very warm. Not very durable. Took it out as soon as I got it for a hike. First (and only) fall, the sleeve ripped pretty bad. Needs a patch to keep it usable. Disappointed in the durability for the price. Have had other coats from different brands that have gone through a lot worse and have held up. OR would send a black patch to keep it usable, but still not the same.
