    Warm to the core.

The Patagonia Men's Nano Puff Vest is an ultralight core insulator suitable for trips to the alpine whether you're climbing a new route or remote couloir. Its Primaloft Gold Eco insulation adds the touch of warmth needed for active endeavors in cold places, and it's so compressible the vest stows inside its own pocket for compact convenience on your harness or in your pack. Patagonia treated the vest's tough, recycled ripstop shell to shed snowflakes and raindrops when a rogue squall catches you without your shell on.

    Classic Patagonia Vest

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: medium
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 175lbs

Bought this for my boyfriend who absolutely loves it. Slim fitting and warm, perfect to wear on a fall hike or in the office. He normally wears a large in Patagonia but got the medium so its a little more form fitting which was definitely a good call. Highly recommend - Patagonia nano puff products are the best!

    Anyone Can Rock This!!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This vest happens to be my second Patagonia vest. Its not bulky which is fine. Its a comfortable fit and I found myself using it a lot. I can definitely say its great for being outside during Sunday tailgating. A long sleeve under it would do you just fine. I have high confidence that Ill be wearing this during the spring as well. Once again Patagonia stays killing it.

    Perfect for fall weather

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Love this vest on chilly days. Comfortable and great weight to beat cool and windy fall days. Well made, light weight and warm.

    I bring mine everywhere.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 185lbs

I love the versatility of my nano puff jacket. It layers well, folds up small, and even looks good over a collared shirt on date night.

    Great layer!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XL
    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 220lbs

I bought this in buffalo green for my husband. It is his second one, his last one was navy. It is the perfect weight for him, not too thick or hot. He wears it all the time in the fall, winter, and spring with t-shirts to sweatshirts. He is obsessed! Looks good for casual to business casual.

    Invisible Warmth

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 160lbs

This is my go-to mid layer for skiing as it adds good warmth but is so light and slim that I barely even notice I have it on. Very packable. Bought it on sale from Steep and Cheap.

    Functional and stylish

Weather using this as a middle layer on the slopes or just to shovel the driveway. This vest allows you to do anything while keeping you very warm throughout the core. I've won this as a winter business casual piece and looks very well and his form fitted

      My one and only!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Medium
      • Height: 5'10"
      • Weight: 170lbs

I love this vest. I like the versatility of it and its compact size when stowed away. Use it as a base layer or on a cool summer morning. It has a slim fit feel, otherwise it runs true to size.

      Awesome Vest

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

I bought this as a gift for my man since he has been wanting a nice light-weight vest for a long time. His favorite thing about this vest is how it can be worn for pretty much any occasion, when a little extra warmth is needed. Whether it be mid-layer for warmer ski days, light layer to wear on chillier camp nights or just on a cool night out in town this vest works perfectly and packs down to nothing. The slimmer fit and synthetic insulation keep you from looking like a puff-ball but still pack a good punch when it comes to warmth.

      Seeing a lot of use

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: large
      • Height: 5'4"
      • Weight: 175lbs

I ordered a mess of stuff for my last trip to the mountains. Living in Northern Florida we have had a number of evenings in the 30's and 40's. Of everything I purchased last time, this is seeing the most use. With the high humidity cold that we get here, the synthetic down in this is perfect. Compact, packs nicely, fits well enough to be able to layer, I have been very pleased with this. I am thinking to get one of the nano puff jackets because I like this one so much!

Replaced a 10 year old version

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Medium
      • Height: 6'0"
      • Weight: 175lbs

This is my second Patagonia synthetic insulation vest. I recently lost, much to my dismay, my beloved ten year old micro puff (discontinued style) vest. My Patagonia vest was the single most used piece of outerwear in my wadrobe. I wore it to work in San Francisco, on countless fly fishing trips all over the west and snowboarding trips. Despite my emotional connection to my old vest the nano puff version is better in my opinion. Namely, it has a trimmer fit and overall lower profile. Anecdotally, it has a bit less insulation than my old vest which makes it even more versatile as a mid layer for those warmer winter days when my Arc Teryx Atom LT is too much and it makes it more practical for fly fishing on summer mornings that end up heating way and result in the vest being stashed in a pack at 11AM. For Patagonia, the fit here is trim which I also like and differs from some of their more boxy generous cut jackets (I see you down sweater and I still don't like your fit). Overall, I couldn't recommend this piece more highly.

      Solid, but runs small

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: Runs small

Nano puff is always a solid mid layer. Durable and warm... I do think the vest runs smaller than the same sized jacket. If you are between sizes you might want to go up.

      Nice vest

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
      • Fit: Runs small
      • Size Bought: Medium
      • Height: 5'9"
      • Weight: 165lbs

Bought for my husband. He's mostly a medium, but sometimes a large. We went with the medium. It was a little too snug. We ended up finding a vest through another source, but this was definitely a high quality piece.

      Fully Invested

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Medium
      • Height: 5'11"
      • Weight: 150lbs

I was super happy to use some of the christmas cash that was burning a hole in my pocket on this piece. I have used it a few days on the mountain and around town as a insulating layer, and it works like a dream. The vest is very light but packs a punch; I wore it over a fleece, under my ski shell in temps around 15 and was toasty. The style is nice enough to wear over a flannel or with a hoodie or sweater around town, very versatile. I got the Forge Grey color and the color is a little lighter than what I expected from the pictures. Overall, very happy with this purchase.

      Great...but

I ordered a mens large. TWICE I was sent a men's Medium. So TWICE I printed off a label, taped the package up, and drove back to UPS. Thus the four stars. The third time it was correct. As for the vest it's awesome and I'm sure will be with me for a long time.

Is the navy and paintbrush red color a true red? It looks orange in the picture.
