Larger Thighs? Consider the Thigh Fit

I bought a pair of size 32/30 pants online, impressed by their look and quality. Although the waist fits well, the thighs are narrower than I expected. My thighs measure 60cm in circumference, making the pants tighter in this area than is comfortable for me. This may not be a concern for all, but for those with muscular or larger thighs, it's worth considering before you buy.

Not for tough trails

These are by far the most comfortable pants I’ve worn. I love them for every day wear; however, I cannot recommend them for hiking. The “sturdiness” of the pants is not there. They snag way too easily to be considered a top tier hiking pant, which is a shame.

too skinny, poor belt

Used to be a big fan of the zion, but it was a bit baggy, so decided to try the new zion "slim". This should be called "skinny", since it's very tight, and uncomfortable. The new integrated belt is plastic, has a piece of fabric which extends it out (I don't know why) such that it feels like it will break everytime I try to buttno or unbutton it.

Casual Wear Pants while Bikepacking!

Not the lightest, and they don't pack down super small, but these pants worked well for a 335 mile, 4 day bike packing trip where I needed something other than my riding bibs for camp. Love the fit. Size is accurate. Would also be great for hiking or other outdoor adventures. Would get again!

Legs are too narrow

They look like great pants, except the legs are pretty narrow. The waist and inseam are fine, but when I put them on, they are tight around my thighs and calves. I can bend my leg, but I can feel resistance when I do this as the fabric stretches. I bought these for winter hiking/backpacking/climbing, and thus would be wearing a base-layer underneath - which would only make the problem worse. The extra resistance to bending one's knee means they are useless for climbing or any sort of distance-walking, and can not be used with a base-layer. I can only imagine these pants were designed for folks with really skinny thighs & calves, which one would expect would not be many climbers/backpackers. The pants thus should either carry a 'narrow leg' warning, and/or not pop up when one filters for hiking/backpacking/climbing pants. Otherwise, the pants look great - if the legs fit my thighs & calves with space for a baselayer, without any tightness or resistance to leg-bend, these would probably be great. I will be returning these pants immediately.

I just got these but I love the fit and the feel of the material. Most others I have tried are too baggy.

Slim fit is a bit tight.

I find that "slim fit" pants are bit tight. I'm a rather thin guy so I bought the "slim fit". I should have bought the regular fit. My only other complaint is that the belt is a friction type belt. Over time the belt tends to loosen, especially when the pants are bit old. When I am hiking, I have to tighten the belt serval times during the day.

Excellent Climbing Pants

I guess my legs are stockier than I thought, because these pants fit comfortably trim; which IMO makes them ideal for indoor and outdoor climbing. Contrary to other reviews, I have had no problem with the waist sizing and there's no bunching in the crotch area. The Stretch Zion fabric is durable but not indestructible, which is acceptable to me. I took a medium length cheesegrater slide down some Utah sandstone with my wallet in my back pocket, and the fabric shredded; but I think that would have happened with anything less than some Mountain Khakis or Carhart Canvas pants. I will buy more of this model, for sure.
