Great Boot - Fits like a glove
I must admit I was skeptical buying a size 9 boot when I wear a 10 tennis shoe. And, for the first month or four of break in, I was wondering if they'd ever break in. But, when they did... WOW what comfort. I literally wear these the whole day. The sole wears amazingly well - still looks new after a few years. Highly recommend these boots. You will have them a long time. Worth the investment.

Speed hooks eating tongue.
Bought these Iron Rangers and really love them! Looks great and feels fine. Unfortunately, the speed hooks do bite into the tongue. Only had them for two weeks and worn four times. Wear is already visible on the tongue due to backing of speed hooks. Two of the hooks is easily rotated. Again, I really do love these boots and would like to keep it for years. Would hate to see holes in the tongue years down the line. Mainly on right shoe. QA could possibly catch these and machine press adjusted to make backing of hooks more flush? I am sure RW will address issue and please continue "Made in America"!

Speed hooks.
More of the same; great boots but the speed hooks have been destroying the tongue. Less than 6 months old and almost chewed through the entire tongue already. Clearly a manufacturing and / or QA/QC issue. Although with these many reviews talking about the speed hooks, I’d say it’s the former. Hopefully they fix this glaring issue to an incredibly comfortable and American made boot. Not sure what I’ll do yet. It’s really just a bummer.

Best boots I've ever had
I've had these boots for over 4 years now, wearing at least half of those days. I have worked construction in them, backpacked, rode motorcycles, and much more. They are very comfortable, and show no signs of wearing out. I clean and condition them every couple of months, but that's been all. Original soles are still going strong. Highly reccomended these boots. And they look great!

Good, high quality, American boot but.....
These boots are absolutely beautiful and well made. Of course them being made by Americans in American shops is the cherry on top and a key reason that I bought them. However, one downside is the speed hooks. Something didn't quite line up on these and some of the hooks freely turn and are cutting the tongue. I will have to follow up for repair but these are an otherwise amazing boot that I hope will last a long time.

Great boots 2nd review
Bought my first pair Dec 2023. They had two nails coming into the foot bed. I returned them and the 2nd pair were way worse The hook eyelets were not installed properly. Leaving jagged edges protruding that were gouging the tongue of the boot and would cut your finger. I returned them for my third pair. I was told someone would look through the inventory and hand select a pair to send me. Those boots arrived with no flaws and are perfect. They’re Golden

Iron Rangers: 2024
My 2nd pair in Amber Harness (8.5EE), first pair (8.D) were eaten by the family dog. The craftsmanship on the most recent pair is better than the last. Although, I need to mention the EE does feel “longer”, however that’s a personal sizing issue that can be resolved. I can only speak for my experience, the new boots I purchased meet the expectations that were never met with my old pair. Now, I have no problem recommending IRs to the people that ask. Thanks, RW.

13 in an EE
Will Redwing ever do an iron ranger in a EE width? The regular 13 is too narrow for me.

Favorite footwear! But need a new colorway!
I own 13 pairs of Red Wings and 5 of them Iron Rangers. I almost always go back to the Rangers regardless of the season. We will see these release in the New Alpine Leather? I’d love to see them in that leather

Iron Ranger boots are the best
23 year Air Force Retired Active Duty Veteran that wore leather boots everyday. I have been through many boots over my years and I can share with you that the Iron Ranger series is the best of the best. I inspected these boots with a critical eye and the quality is unmatched Every stitch is perfect throughout the shoe. The leather is smooth and comfortable. Finally i was excited to see the speed laces. Great boot comfort exceeds my expectations. I feel that these will last so long due to quality I may have to buy another pair in a different color.
