StreetRod

If you have an older fork-mounted bike rack that only works with quick-release axles, you might think you need to buy a new rack to transport your thru-axle bikes. With this RockyMounts StreetRod that's not the case. This nifty device attaches to your fork-mounted bike rack and converts it from quick-release to thru-axle, allowing you to mount your newer road or mountain bike.

Works as advertised

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I bought a new bike with through axles and needed this to mount my bike in the back of our Honda CR-V. This attached securely to the quick release clamp and now allows me to attach either my new bike or I can quickly remove it to mount my older bike with quick release clamps.
