Why We Like The Simms Guide Insulated Bib

Winter weather may be cold and crappy, but we can still chase down walleye and trout in the Simms Guide Insulated Bibs. The GORE-TEX membrane is both waterproof and breathable, not only keeping us dry in sleet and snow but also minimizing sweat as we hoof it up and down the banks in between our honey holes. The abrasion-resistant fabric also holds up to brush and rocks with added durability in key areas, such as the seat, knees, and lower leg. Finally, synthetic PrimaLoft Silver keeps our bodies well insulated, even if our guides and fingers are freezing.

Of Course the bibs are Simms waterproof, but the insulation factor concerned me regarding weight and stiffness. I’ve used the bibs for about a month now and am finding them flexible, articulate well at the waist and knees and have good protection from the cold. That amount of insulation I felt was lighter than expected upon arrival, but now I’m finding them very comfortable to work in. These bibs are my go to work pants this winter.

Another great product by a great company. I ordered a large but had to go down a size. I usually ride the line between large and xl, but I have short legs. The large was about 2” to long. Medium fit perfect, as long as I dont put on the winter weight.

Great for Cold Days

I initially got these for Musky Fishing, but have since worn them for snow tubing and other snow activities. No rips or other issues as of now.

Nice quality, they fit true to size, not a lot of extra room if you choose your actual size.

I???m 5???11 210. 36 waist 31 inseam. I got the larges. They fit good, any tighter it would be an issue. I can fit sweat pants and a sweater shirt on under them but that???s about it. If you plan on really layering to make these work for winter conditions you???ll have to go up a size. I don???t see these being practical for demanding Ice fishing, I got them for spring and late fall boat use and quick trip ice fishing inside the tent and they will be fine for that. If you are popping holes get the heavier actual ice fishing ones. Hope some of this helps someone else. They???re nice like you???d expect from sims, not some straight up and down bulky carhart fit. Feels tailored.

Love them just wish I could exchange for a large

Having the same problem with these bibs I wish they wasn???t so tight on ribs and chest I wear medium in every thing and went off the size guide and measured my body for it but when they got here they are too snug on body
