Lightweight Baselayer Top - Men's

Fantastic under layer. Will be great for fishing and snowmobiling. I would imagine it would have great use for skiing, hunting, working outside removing snow, watching a football game in chilly fall weather. Many uses for this excellent shirt. I bought 4 of them.

This base layer fits great and helps keep me stay warm fishing streamers in the winter

Light weight and not bulky

Kept me warm during 20mph winds on tournament waters and kept me from having to wear 5 layers. Great for that start of winter season before it gets to super cold but you need a little layering to keep that chill off, didnt add so much bulk that it was hard to cast. Kept the sweat off and very comfortable.

Lightweight base layer top review

This is great for fishing in cold weather. I wore it under a mid layer top under a Simms G4 wading jacket when going after cohos in Alaska last week. The air temp was between 40 and 48 degrees in a cool stream. It keeps you dry while providing a movable base layer for additional warmth. I am 6’ 3”, 215 lbs and an XL works best. Keeping warm and dry is crucial to staying on the river all day.

The size is the right size. I ordered fits like a glove will be buying more in the future great fit and comfortable

An upgrade?

This base layer is a bit heavier and warmer than those of the recent past, but not bulky, or loose. The sleeves are either a bit longer, or my (very) old ones have become shorter. The neckline is slightly higher. This new version may well prove to be more durable as well, though I follow the laundering instructions and still use all I've ever bought.

Has the Simms quality I've come to know and expect. Sizing is generous.

Amazing base layer…

This the most comfortable base layer I ever worn…I fly fish a lot and guide some. It is early Spring in the high country in Colorado. That means Mother Nature puts you to the test! This base layer keeps up with rapid weather changes and feels good doing it. I layer under Simms mid layers and it seems to be about perfect…
