Good product but sleeves are much too long. At least 4” and I’m an average XL size. I will have to fine someone to alter it.

Very Functional Piece, Sleeve Opening Needs to be reworked

I bought this piece for use on early cool mornings chasing striped bass on Casco Bay, Maine. In this regard it works great. The fabric is light and comfortable and keeps the predawn chill away, and when motoring through fog the DWR on the fabric keeps the moisture away too. The XL size, my normal size fits well. My only beef, and it's a big one, is the design of the sleeve cuffs. The sleeve cuff is open, by that I mean there is no elastic at the sleeve opening. As a result the sleeve opening falls almost to just below my thumb joint. When I'm stripping with my left hand, the presence of fabric partially around my hand drives me nuts. I constantly push the sleeves up my forearm so this does not happen. A little elastic casing at the sleeve opening would prevent this from happening.

One of my better purchases

This is a wonderful overlay. Matter of fact after having my first one for 2 months bought a second one. Leave one in the boat all the time and have the other in the RV. Water resistant and really cuts the wind. Packs up to the size of a T shirt. Took to Denali backcountry for a week and was an integral part of layering. Would highly recommend this for a traveler.

Great Windproof Hoody

Great new product from Simms. Definitely wind proof material and very lightweight. I’m off to Patagonia in April (Fall there) and this hoody will be worn everyday. I liked it so much, I ordered the Quarter zip version for morning walks. Keep up the innovations!
