Runs very small
Ordered size L/XL and like another reviewer I found it was much too small for a 9 year old boy. When compared to the knit beanie hats of other brands that I ordered for his younger siblings, the smaller size beanies were considerably larger than the L/XL Smartwool beanie. We tried a different Smartwool beanie with the same result. Surely Smartwool knows their beanies are running way to small even for young children!

Our kiddo loves it!
Our kiddo loves this hat! It's super soft and not too tight, which means he leaves it on all day!

Too small.
Unfortunately we had to send it back. I ordered a L/XL for my 9 year old son and it was much too small, would barely fit on his head. Otherwise it was SUPER soft and looked very cozy. Bummed to send it back.
