Sorel didn't hide the comfort and effortless casual style of the Explorer II Carnival Cozy Boot when they named it. Initially, we were hung up on the boots' cozy-factor, but the EVA midsole and full grip outsole convinced us that these deserve to be worn after skiing, when walking the dog on frigid mornings, and even on short winter hikes.

Very cozy but they do stain
I love these but I do find them far too easy to stain and not suitable for rain which limits when I can wear them. They’re the warmest boots I’ve ever worn. I found the size fits perfectly in my usual size.

Sorel Cozy Boots
These boots were a christmas present and once we got the right size , they have been my partners favorite pair of shoes she owns. very comfortable and awesome design.

Cozy Warm, Almost No Slip
I bought these 2 months ago and am super happy with this purchase! Full disclosure, I did spray them with a suede waterproofing product, as I live in northern Minnesota and winter is no joke. However, I have stepped almost ankle deep in an icy stream - no wet feet!! & still cozy warm; worn these in negative (Fahrenheit) temperatures & still been warm!; walked several miles, averaging about 2 miles per day with no blisters or complaints; been able to wear double socks if I prefer; and just one time on a very cold day while walking around in the bog my feet actually got sweaty?? I'm blaming that one on poor sock choice for that day. These are seriously a dream though to wear. They feel better than my slippers and it does feel like I'm just wearing slippers to work or out and about every day, that's how comfy. I did go a half-size up, based on other folks reviews, so that could be contributing to the slipper-like vibe, but I have zero regrets so far. (1/2 size up from my typical hiking boot size gives it the "Small" size rating.) I also like the slightly larger size and whatever they are doing with the tread because these shoes beat out my hiking boots, other winter boots, and my previous pair of Sorel winter boots in terms of steadiness in icy conditions. I'm not sure if that's because they're a little bigger, but these are by far the shoes I feel the most secure in in icy or slippery conditions. That said, you still have to take it easy - I don't recommend running on ice in these, unless you live on the edge, but it was an unexpected bonus for me. In addition, I love this color - so cheerful for winter when everything can be bleh some days. Note in the photos that I've accumulated some dirt on the shoes due to walking around town which gets grungy from road residue and snow maintenance, but I anticipate these will clean right up due to the nice quality suede. I've had a previous similar-iteration of these boots from Sorel, and I'm so glad these did not disappoint. Love them!

Slightly narrow
Despite the shoe being a bit narrow, it was still comfortable. The fuzzy lining kept my feet nice and toasty but not sweaty.

Women's Sorel Explorer™ II Carnival Cozy Boot
I ordered a size up and they are still really tight. I can only wear a half hour or so before it becomes much too uncomfortable. I have tried my thinnest socks and without socks and still to tight. Sad as they are super cute and warm, perfect for Wisconsin winters and I receive a lot of compliments when wearing them. Hard to gauge the quality of them - due to that I haven't been able to wear them for a long period of time.

Very disappointed!
I bought these boots in the Wood/Chalk color three months ago and am regretting my purchase. I really wanted to like these boots, and right out of the box they were very comfy and cozy. I sized 1/2 up from my usual and they fit perfectly. I received compliments on them when I was out on my walks. However after about 3 or 4 times of wearing them, the wood color of the suede started discoloring the sherpa. Additionally, the dye from the dark jeans I wear transferred onto the sherpa as well. I have tried with no success to clean the sherpa. My husband says nobody but me will notice this, but it really bugs me. Especially because I have only worn them about 6 times. If they were older and then this happened I wouldn’t have cared as much. Honestly if I had known this would happen I never would have bought them.

Explorer shoes to go exploring
I wore these shoes on one of the coldest days, while out running errands, at no point did my feet get cold. I was sold at how solid these shoes are!

Very Comfortable
Very comfortable. As others pointed out though, runs small. I usually wear 7.5 and I ordered 8. It fit but it was snug and I was afraid it wont' stretch. I returned and got 8.5 and it fits perfect. I do have one foot that's wider than the other and it's not a problem in these shoes.
