Why We Built The Stoic Insulated Snow Pant
Whether we're lapping the resort or exploring powder-packed snowshoe trails, we're cozy in our Insulated Snow Pant. We built this pair with a synthetic fill that traps heat yet still breathes, while the impervious membrane and built-in gaiters keep deep fluff and fresh flakes out. When our body temp rises, we open the mesh-lined vents to boost airflow without letting spray spill in.

Wonderful

These ran a bit big, but I chose these because I was looking for something that was a little looser than my usual ski pant fit, and these are great. I was able to cinch them tighter at the waist. I love the many pockets it has, and the insulation kept me nice and warm. Very happy!

Will rip very easily

I purchased the stoic shell pant, which ripped after my first use (where I didn't do any aggressive or fast skiing). I imagine this is the new generation of those pants, with similiar poorly quality fabric.

Ripped after 4 wears

These pants suck. I wore these for a total of 4 times - 2 days the days weren't even full days. Completely ripped down the crotch. These are a Backcountry brand item with a lifetime warranty. However, getting them to honor a warranty claim has been awful - just getting a run around from so many people for over a week. Deleting my account once this is resolved and not shopping with them anymore.

Love the pant but it runs large! Almost two sizes too large. I will try to reorder. The quality is great and I love the style.

I ordered these in a Small and they were too large so I had to return them. They were also too long for my 29" inseam and 5'1" height. I selected the small based on the size chart that has a 37" hip as a small. I am petite, but I have a rounder behind, and it was still too large. If you are considering ordering these pants, I would suggest sizing down.

did the job despite fit and rip

These kept me warm in 15 degrees and the cargo-style pockets were so awesome for my ski weekend. Literally carried a whole lunch in them. The fit was a bit big (I'm usually a size 12 and ordered a large) and the pants sagged around my hips even with the waist synched in. There was a lot of room throughout the pants which I liked for insulation and comfort but I'll need to wear a belt next time. The biggest downside is that they aren't very durable and ripped in the lower leg after a wipeout. I will continue to use and enjoy them this season but I wouldn't repurchase or pay full price.

very nice color and didn’t soak in any snow/water. got some mud on the bottom hems but it easy to clean it off when dry. very nice amount of pockets. didn’t get cold at all

First time buying actual ski pants and I love them! They fit perfect with ski boots. I am 5'4", when I'm not wearing ski boots I do need to roll them up. The material is good quality and the insulation lining feels really nice. I never got cold up on the hill even on the very slow lifts I was warm. I love love love the thigh vents, what a great idea, didn't overheat because of these! I got the white pair and they do get dirty easily, but bleach worked well getting my chicken wing stain off.
