Length great, but waist is too tight

Bought these for my wife, size XS. The length was perfect for her. She's 5'1". However, the waist was tiny and way too tight. Even my daighter, who is the same height but skinnier, said the waist was too tight. Probably best fit for those with a really small waist.

Bought these with the waffle top as a cozy pair of winter pajamas. They're so cute and fit great. They have a nice weight to them. I will buy more!

I have been STRUGGLING this winter as I just moved to the mountains from a warm state and these pants have been a lifesaver. They're think but deceptively warm and also make a decent base layer when temperatures drop at night or early in the morning. I would definitely buy another one in a different color.
