That means that this vest feels just as warm as 600-fill down insulation, weighs as little as a down vest, and still retains its warmth in wet weather like synthetic. The ThermoBall also compresses into one of its zippered hand pockets, which is excellent news for backpackers, skiers, and climbers. Its nylon shell is sure to keep this vest strong through many years of adventures.
